Great spot for a cheap date night great view of NYC I think as a suggestion at night they should have maybe some live entertainment since the weather is warm and maybe a bar area with bar style food and charge a cheap admission cost they can hire local college kids to tend to the bar since its summer and they are looking for par time work but great way to bring in more people to the waterfront

Fellas, if you want to impress a girl, bring her here! I’ve been here a million times and I still get impressed with the waterfront. And if you want to impress a friend who never been to Jersey City, bring that friend here! It’s such a relaxing atmosphere here. Whether it’s winter or summer, Newport waterfront has a lot of offer.

How do you not love the Newport section of the Hudson River Waterfront? You can grab some coffee at Starbucks (hot in the winter, iced in the summer) or a takeout lunch at Babo Teahouse or Komegashi, and enjoy the skyline view and sailboats cruising up and down the Hudson. Babo also has great gelato on a hot summer’s day. They also gave benches with solar panels that you can use to charge your phone, now that is being considerate for you!
