Jersey Smiles

Note that this is a review for their service I received about a year ago.
I had bought a Groupon for teeth cleaning for me and my boyfriend. We went together for our appointments. They also gave me a dental exam before the cleaning. Their cleaning job was pretty sloppy. I get my teeth cleaned once a year, and other dentists I’ve been to did excellent jobs in removing stains and plague. After my teeth cleaning at this place though, all the stains were still there and I really didn’t feel a difference. Whatever, I know what you get from Groupon sometimes and this is not the worst part of my visit.
The dentist told me that I had three cavities and asked me whether I would like to fill them. I thought that was strange because I haven’t gotten cavities since I was a little kid and I keep excellent dental cleaning habits. I told him I would wait because I wanted to check again at a dentist I’ve been to before. I didn’t get around to do this until a few months later, but when I did get a second opinion, I was told by the other dentist, whom I trust and is familiar with, that I have zero cavities and my teeth were in excellent shape.
So, what would the dentist have put into my teeth had I told him okay go ahead and fill my cavities? Unthinkable. I’m not sure if that was an honest mistake or a scheme to make money, but I’m guessing it’s pretty basic for a dentist to correctly diagnose whether someone has cavities.
Only plus side of my visit — they gave us these nice little travel toothbrush kits. But that was not enough to make up for the sloppy job.

I’ve had nothing but positive experiences with Jersey Smiles. The dentists and staff are lovely and friendly and all that good stuff. Most importantly, I have gotten a cap replaced, bonding on two teeth, and a cavity filled, and I have been happy with their work. I seem to have bad luck with dentists, so I’m hoping they broke the curse! lol. The only thing I will warn about… they are located in Jersey City & have only street parking. I may be spoiled in that respect, but I find it to be a real pain in the ass. Otherwise, I certainly recommend them!

Amazing dentistry, even more amazing staff! The dentists are friendly, experienced and knowledgeable and their staff, including Elaine & Michelle, are personable, helpful and thoughtful. It’s rare to find a group, medical or otherwise, that is this dedicated to their patients AND has a bit of personality as well. Not only will your teeth/​dental needs be well taken care of, but your mood will be lighter just for being around such positive, kind people. Try Jersey Smiles – You won’t be disappointed!
