What a good feeling to finally have a decent eyeglass store in the 6^th borough. Jonathan Marx Opticians on Central Avenue is a great find in this long line of 99 cents stores, discount shoe stores, nail salons and other cheap stores. Because this classy, elegant store has a good selection of eyeglasses in different price range. Fast and efficient service provided by Eddie, who was very professional.

I went to Jonathan Marx and was pleasantly surprised how great everything was. They had a nice selection of stylish glasses and shades from name brand designers and the staff was very helpful in helping me find the right pair.
What impressed me the most was there in house optometrist. I’ve gotten yearly eye exams at both Mascot and Warby Parker and only the optometrist at Jonathan Marx was able to find that none of my previous glasses where the correct prescription. He also had some great insights and was able to explain everything very simply and clearly.
I love my new glasses and now with the correct lenses I can see better than ever.

I was looking for a stylish pair of glasses from a store that wasn’t super pricey, but provided more personalized service and less pushy sales staff than a LensCrafters or similar type store, as I don’t have vision insurance. I visited a few shops in the Hoboken area before finding Jonathan Marx. I am so happy that I found this shop. I got a complete eye exam and found a beautiful pair of frames with the help of both of the sales staff, as I was the only one in the store at the time. They had a range of styles for all budgets and were great with helping my find my preferred style within my budget. I plan to go back soon, as I’d like to get a second pair of frames to leave at work so I don’t have to remember to haul my reading glasses back and forth each day. It was worth the drive up to the heights from Hoboken.
