McDonald’s

I wouldn’t review a McDonald’s unless something prompts me to. Either for bad experiences or exceptionally good. After all, it’s McDonald’s and what more can you really say?
Well, I’m prompted to review this one over a seemingly trivial matter over a $ 2 latte. It was more of the embarrassment of debating unnecessarily over it with a member of staff. There was a Superbowl promotion, that I’m sure everyone is familiar with, and so there were coupon stickers for free food on the containers. I got one for a McCafe and the value on the coupon was something like $ 2.40 cents (thereabouts). I asked for a latte (which was valued at under $ 2 if I remember) but the woman told me I could only get a regular coffee. I told her, politely, that actually there is another coupon for a regular coffee (as I’ve had one) but this one was for something from the McCafe menu. She again said no. I asked her to check that with a supervisor or someone else. The supervisor looked at me like I was an idiot, scowled and said «no, only regular coffee» and walked away. As I said, yeah pretty trivial and it’s free after all, but it was also rather embarrassing that I’m debating this in front of other customers. It just annoyed me but I didn’t yell at them. I told them «fine, I’ll have a regular coffee».
A few days later, I returned to the same place with another «McCafe» coupon AND a «regular coffee» coupon and asked the guy serving me what the difference was between the two coupons. He told me, just as I thought, that I could order any small McCafe drink. I handed him the «regular coffee» coupon and told him I wanted a latte, that I should have got with my other McCafe coupon, which was redeemed on just a regular coffee last time. He obviously looked confused but gave me what I asked for without debate or complaint.
Again, I realize how trivial this seems and it’s no big deal really. I guess I’m hoping that the woman (the supervisor) who spoke to me like I was an idiot reads this, remembers the «incident» and learns to know her product and promotions. I’m writing this more because of the embarrassment.
Other than that… the restaurant is clean, I’ve received my order quickly and it’s always been correct (other than the latte incident, lol)

Grand re-​opening after being renovated. I personally don’t remember what it looked like before so idk how much of the location was done. When I went in, the place was pretty clean. Plenty of cashiers working so there was no wait to order. Is is in the same plaza as auto zone and rite aid so it has its own parking lot which saves the trouble of trying to street park.
