Huge burritos for a very reasonable price($ 7 at lunch, or $ 9 with a salad). Everything was really delicious and authentic and the service was quick and friendly. The only thing I’d like to see is a list of veggies to add to the burritos – otherwise, no complaints!

Very reasonable prices for the food you get. This could easily be two meals worth of food if you aren’t ravenous when you go there! This is a hidden gem in the Heights right on Palisade ave, I drove by it so many times before stopping in on a whim. It’s almost completely bare on the inside, but don’t let that weird you out. The people who work there/own the place are very friendly and amazingly fast getting your food ready. I recommend the chicken myself. Taqueria is some of the best Mexican food in Jersey City, but it’s sadly and inexplicably lacking in any kind of burrito option. If you’re in the mood for a massive, smothered burrito then this is the place to be.

My first time ordering from them. Boom! Ordered steak burrito, chicken quesadilla, steak tacos and nachos with beef and cheese. My family loved the food. Hands down the Best Mexican food out there.

OK. I’m not going to argue with the complaints about it being cash only. But the issues with price??? This is a very large plate of food for your money. Steak burrito and nachos are superb. Knocking a star off for some small things, but none of them related to the food. The Heights needs to support this place because it is very good.

Mission burrito is awesome. Great food, massive portions, and a really friendly staff. They also throw in delicious home made chips and salsa free of charge pretty often. Love this place, love Jersey city.

Great food and good prices — love the tacos. Fast too! One of the best restaurants in Jersey City heights. They also deliver!

I stumbled upon Mission Burrito ¾ of the way through a 30 mile bike ride. The wind was whipping outside and my stomach was growling, and I just happened to stop at the corner of Palisade and South. The owner let me bring my bike inside as I scarfed down a delicious beef burrito with rice and beans, salad and guacamole for $ 9. Portions are significant and food is ready very quick. We were the only ones in the joint and I don’t think we waited for more than 10 minutes for our food. Inside the décor is Spartan, but that’s not why you’re here, it’s for the burritos. If you’re in the heights grabbing a cup of coffee at Mod Cup, take the short walk for some good Mexican grub. You won’t be disappointed.

Second best Mexican in Jersey City to Taquira. The food is fresh and the portions are plentiful.

Best burrito in the area. Very pricey but a nice size. Small shop and not very inviting but I’m not there for the ambiance. Fast service and they are hearty. Again, very pricey though. 3 stars for that reason Have fun

Went here with my husband today– agreed that the interior is not very inviting, but holy heck the vegetarian burrito is one of the best I’ve had! The ingredients tastes fresh, had just enough kick to it, and the portion was HUGE!!! Will definitely be coming back!

This place was my go to Mexican takeout when they were in Hoboken on 4th St. I was devastated when I realized they left because the new burrito place that took over in that spot isn’t half as good. But I’m so happy I found them again. Their steak enchiladas are $ 14 with LOTS of steak overflowing the fresh corn tortillas. Plus you get rice, beans, salad and all the toppings. Oh and that little cup of hot salsa they give you with your order is amazing! They always get the order right. And, it’s never more than 30 mins from ordering to my door so my food arrives still hot. I love this place and am so glad they are delivering to Hoboken from JC Heights.

Mision Burrito was one of the best keep secrets in Jersey City Heights. The owner said he going to close shop and maybe move to another city. I had the Vegetarian Burrito. It was a large burrito and the flavors were spot on… It was worth $ 12!

Beef bay burrito is the way to go. Always consistently good, fast delivery, tons of food, good value. Love these guys.

My husband usually gets the Beef Bay burrito, and I like either the Chili burrito or the combo platter, which has a taco, tamale, and burrito in it. That’s enough for at least two meals, and comes with an entirely separate plate full of rice, beans, and salad! Everything we’ve had here has been hot, plentiful, and tasty. I don’t know what«authentic» burritos are like, so I can’t speak to that. However, both phone and delivery people are nice and courteous, delivery has always been prompt, and again, it’s a crazy amount of food! We luv you, Mision Burrito!

Got a full plate of rice & beans, salad and a large fully loaded bean burrito for only $ 7! The salsa was delicious and spicy as well… just how I like it. The guy even was considerate enough to ask If I wanted cheese and sour cream because I asked for no meat so he went the extra step to make sure if I was vegan or not before putting in my order. Nice people and delicious food.

It’s below average Mexican food. This place is WAY too expensive for what they offer. $ 14 burritos??? And they’re not very good. $ 14 quesadilla??? The quesadilla was actually below average. Almost no cheese, and the tortilla hadn’t been heated up ATALL. So it was just a room temperature tortilla with chicken and a tiny bit of cheese inside… wth? $ 10 nachos — also below average. There was beef, which tasted ok, black beans, ok, another little bit of cheese, and no sour cream or guac. The place sucked and is pretty much super expensive considering what they serve. Which is insane, considering all the amazing real Mexican food places available in the heights! Definitely not eating here again.

Loved this place ever since I lived in Hoboken, and so glad they had another location in the Heights. Giant burritos with fresh ingredients and salad, totally worth the extra cash and there will be plenty of leftovers for the next day’s lunch!

I really like authentic Mexican food and Mision is definitely that. I wouldn’t say overpriced, but definitely more than most Mexican options. I talked with the owner a bit, he was very friendly and one could definitely tell that this whole process was definitely a craft for him. He took pride in his food and had been doing this for quite a while. Regardless, they have better burritos than most available in the heights.

I have order her about 5 times over the past year. I am desperate for good Mexican food in the area, but have to say Mission burrito is just ok. Not bad, but the rice is a little bland. Portions are good, and I like their house made tortilla chips because they are yummy and greasy. I always order the Mission Burrito, which has guac, sour cream, black beans and rice with a side salad. $ 13 for my burrito and a side of chips only(no salsa). A little pricey. Delivery was within the 40 mins they quoted.

So, to put it right out there, my $ 14 steak burrito wasn’t worth it. I would have bumped this bad boy up to 3 stars if said burrito was like $ 9 but, $ 14? This steak better be filet! Not to mention, I don’t mean to hate but, delivery was quoted as 35 minutes and came about an hour and fifteen minutes. I personally don’t mind but, just a heads up to y’all for reference purposes. Anyway, back to the food. The burrito was large with a fresh salad by it’s side but, the burrito itself was nothing amazing. The steak were thin, over cooked, chewy pieces of meat. The beans and rice were definitely not flavorful. The guac was not thick and creamy but, was more of a thin pasty like guac. Overall, everything was pretty bland and definitely didn’t satiate. Again, it would have sufficed if this beast was $ 8-$ 9 but, $ 14 is pretty steep in my opinion for Mexican food that wasn’t of top ingredients in my opinion. Sadly, wasn’t a win in my book.
