I actually love Panera… and working in the mall I was pleased to find one here. I can say that the poor customer service from Paula will never have me returning. I was basically tossed my bag after she called my name for pick up, no eye contact, and when I asked for utensils, she very nastily asked if I looked first. Cosi it is!!!

My take out order was wrong… the goddess salad was missing chicken and I asked for no bacon… so I got charged $ 7+ for a bunch of lettuce and a hard boiled egg. When I called panera to complain they would not refund me the salad. Horrible customer service!

Best soup I’ve had in, like… a BILLION years. No one freaked out when my bird got loose and hide behind the fake plants. Sorry my boy Dirruck sent his soup back, he’s just upset because the Rangers drowned in a boat.

Always love Panera though it’s pricey but i never complain about it, but Jersey City/newport mall branch is bad. Bought whole bowl of chicken noodle soup and all i got is bowl of broth and a noodle !!! Ordered a to go of steak and arugula, i got a cold steak & arugula & cheese & the steak is rare, u can literally see & feel the cold red juice of the steak. i mean when u order cheese steak to go, u expect that u can still eat in the next 10 mins!!!

Always have an exceptional experience when I come here(which is probably once every 2 – 3 months). Food is always fresh, delicious, and the portions are(surprisingly) large! The staff are also very friendly & helpful(since I usually dine in) — one employee offered to take my tray/trash away when I was done my meal and just using the free wifi. Definitely one of the best Paneras I’ve been to!

Let me start by saying the service at this panera was fine, the cashier was friendly and quick. But, the food. Oh boy was it the worst panera I’ve ever had. I always get the same thing, Sierra turkey and broccoli cheddar. The bread for the sandwich was stale and the soup was watery with huge chunks of broccoli. Now not sure if they just changed the recipe on the soup, but I’ve never seen such big chunks in my panera soup before. I was so disappointed.

Very frustrating experience with both the store managers(Rahul and Xavier) and the call center in trying to get an issue with a gift card balance resolved which was clearly either a Panera Bread store manager error or system error. I purchased a gift card and had $ 200 charged on my Amex. The charge clearly went through but when I went to use the gift card, it showed a zero balance. When I inquired with the store manager, he instructed me to call the gift card call center to get the issue resolved. When I call the call center, the off-shore support staff tells me to go to the store. After 2 visits to the store and 2 call to the call center, still could not get the issue resolved. Thank goodness for Amex … called and disputed the charge and they took care of the issue in 30 seconds. It is s shame because the Panera Bread products are excellent but poor customer service and not putting the customer first always kills the business in the long run. The store managers were nice enough but clearly not empowered to resolve issues — what is the point of being a manager if you aren’t empowered to resolve customer issues. Panera Bread could learn a lot by talking to Amex.

Outstanding customer service in a very busy mall environment, plus the usual great Panera menu.

Suburbs 1, Jersey Shitty 0. Anyone whose ever been to a Panera in the burbs knows the level of quality is superior, so it only makes it weep worthy when you go to one and there’s half the food and the quality tastes like fast food-food. As a creature of habit, I bought my Fuji apple chicken salad with avocado. Like the woman with the thumbkin bacon, my salad came with a sliver of avocado. Cost $ 1.49 extra. El cheapo. Harrumph. The pluses, staff is super friendly and the seating is expansive.

A good place to start your day with a good healthy and tasty breakfast… They make their own breads which are amazing. I often buy their sour dough bread and love it with my artichoke dip… Has got free wifi and a quiet peaceful working environment for people like me who prefer to go out to coffee shops and study.

I had to change my 6 month old crying son and the employees refused to let me use their restroom to change him. They insisted I buy something or other wise go somewhere else. I understand them not wanting to let random people use their restroom but some exceptions should be made when they see someone who actually needs to use it. It’s called common courtesy.

I have dined in Panera so many times at different locations and this one is the most disappointing. I ordered online for the usual half-half meal, Fuji salad and a soup. When I got the package, the food was carelessly placed in the bag. The soft bread roll was thrown into the bag randomly without any paper wrappings. There was no spoon come with the soup. The salad dressing cubic was inside the salad box, and, it was only half filled. So was my salad! The half-half mean doesn’t mean I got my salad box half! Had to go the food court in the mall to complete my dinner. Never plan to dine at this location again.

the Food is your normal Panera food(mostly good). But the guy at the counter that gives you your order was really rude to me. Went on to give 5 – 6 other people their order even though my order was on the counter and the buzzer was going off. Everyone around was looking at me and wondering the same that why he wouldn’t give me my food. He stopped to do online orders and talk to his employees before giving me mine. Never had a bad experience before. Sorry but the new guy sucks. I just was wanna pickup my order, not sure how i had a bad experience in that little interaction but i did.

Hmm… so relaxing! Nothing can be better than a small cup of skinny hazelnut coffee after a Sunday morning workout! Coffee was self-served here so I can always control the amount of calorie intake. Wish they could bring down calories in other traditional coffees(like latte, cappuccino) as well…

Update as promised. Raul called me as we were heading back to PA the next day stating he got my $ entered back into my account, unfortunately for Raul whomever he spoke with lied because $never was seen. I proceeded to email 2 different people thru the Panera home office website and I was sent a $ 12 Ecard.

I used to love going to Panera in my home town(New Hartford, NY). I never once thought the food was overpriced and was always happy with the portions. When I first found out Panera was opening last year, I was really excited. I love Panera — especially their mac and cheese! I quickly became disappointed in the new location. Anytime I came here this past year, I would get the you pick two with mac and cheese and big kids grilled cheese(three cheese with bacon) and a fountain drink. There were a couple of occasions where the cashier had no idea what I was talking about when I ordered and overcharged me by making me pay for grilled cheese with a bacon add-on. Their response when I questioned why they couldn’t use the big kids grilled cheese was that it doesn’t work as the you pick two… clearly there’s some type of disconnect between some of the cashiers who can charge it as a you pick two and can’t. Anyway, that’s not why I’m writing this review. Last week, I went to Panera and tried to order my usual order using the order kiosk. I wasn’t seeing the big kids grilled cheese. I asked why it wasn’t listed and they said they don’t make it anymore and that they can add bacon. I paid an extra $ 0.75 for a SINGLE piece of bacon the size of my thumb. AREYOUKIDDINGME? $ 12 for ~6 bites of mac and cheese, a tiny grilled cheese with a tiny piece of bacon and a drink is definitely NOTWORTHIT. I’m not sure if the to-go portions are just smaller than the eat-in portions(I definitely get more mac and cheese when I eat in at other locations), but this is really just pathetic. If I ever come here again, it will be for breakfast — at least the bagels and egg soufflés are somewhat reasonably priced and you can actually see what you’re going to get ahead of time and not be surprised with a TINYPORTION.

Nice and clean layout, seating both inside and outside under the escalators means plenty of space to relax. Electronic menus coming, but for now, order at the cashiers and walk back to pick up your food. The service and food are exactly as expected, and the clam chowder was hot and fresh before lunch hour even arrived, which was nice. Sourdough bread bowl was delicious. Still something to be desired that they only stocked the utensil space with knives… but hey, we can make it work.

Good but very poor quantity for the price. You pay $ 8 including taxes for a salad and you get a handful of ingredients all together. Yes. A hand worth of ingredients is considered a whole salad. They have the option of half of salad but I don’t even want to know what is that like. I don’t know if it is this specific location but I don’t even want to bother with the others. Save your money

Been waiting a real long time for this Panera location to open up! Located right inside of the Newport Mall, Panera is a great healthy addition. While this location is a bit smaller than the others, the essence of the franchise is still the same. They offer baked sweets such as bear claws(my favorite), cookies, muffins, cupcakes and scones as well as bagels and breads — some packaged and some freshly made and displayed. The menu seems to be a bit condensed as compared to others but the usual suspects are present — still a great breakfast selection that consists if sandwiches and soufflés, bagels and cream cheese sold single or in bulk as well as salads, soups, paninis, pastas and sandwiches. The best deal they have is the pick 2 option available with their meals(non breakfast) that allows for half portions so you can try a bit more of the menu, also with each order you get a free side(either a mini baguette, an apple or chips). Also if you buy a drink with your meal you can get a pastry for just 99 cents! After you order they give you a pager that will ring when food is ready to pick up at the side window. Service is pretty slow which is kind of annoying, we waited about 15 minutes for two salads a bowl of soup. They are pretty limited for space so seating is a bit of a squeeze but they were able to get in about 15 tables some seating up to 4 people. They also have a cool option in which you can preorder your meal via their website or their app and come pick it up in person. Also, they provide their patrons with free wifi.
