So this RadioShack isn’t so bad in my opinion. I mean, employees have to badger you at RadioShack(I think it’s part of their training program — just kidding!), but I’ve gone to this location and the staff have been normal and let me look around at my own leisure. The store is right on Bergen, closer to where Bergen intersects with Sip Ave. It’s good to have a shop like this in the area. You can pick up cables and electronics when in a pinch. It’s the spot to hit up when you’re running errands during your lunch hour and are in a dire need for some electronic item or whatnot. You can pick up Make: magazine here if you’re into DIY projects, too.

Given the fact that I thought the Radio Shack chain had gone bankrupt I was surprised to see this still open a couple of weeks ago. However when I went in I was greeted by a hugely overenthusiastic Chinese salesman who reminded me of the Chinese guy from The Hangover movies(not a compliment). He shouted«Welcome to The Shack» when I walked in and I immediately knew I should have done my shopping in Manhattan as always. I was looking for a splitter for my ethernet and he showed me two boxes I knew I could buy cheaper online so I listened to him, said okay and started to walk out when he shouted after me «I am ok you not ok, ha ha ha» really??? So I am left wondering if this store has been taken over by members of a lunatic asylum or maybe the whole thing was a bad dream… Hangover 4 maybe. Very strange and certainly not a door I will ever walk through again! There should be zero star options for places like this.
