I had a good massage there a few weeks ago. I moved to Jersey City 5 years ago and had a terrible experience there originally. This last visit I had a great therapist although the front desk staff are rude. Today I’ve called 7 times in the span of 1 ½ hours to make an appointment and there has been no one answering the phone. How could they leave the front desk unattended?

Had one of the best massages in a very long time at Spa H today. I saw Nastassia(who is new to Spa H), and she was wonderful! The staff at Spa H are very nice, as is the staff at Club H. I definitely recommend going here if you live in the Jersey City area.

It’s different since I’ve never been to a spa inside a workout facility. The attendant was both fierce and vivacious. Plus she had killer shoes on. The location is so-so but the massages are good.

I consider myself a spa connoisseur. In fact, I enjoy a massage more than anything else on this earth. So please bare in mind that this review is strictly for those who prefer to be massaged rather than just a quick easy rub down. Yesterday was my second visit to Spa H. I decided to give it a second chance after last times«Spa Week» debacle. Needless to say, I was even more let down this time. Upon arriving the girl at the front desk(who was friendly I might add) introduced to me to my therapist. It was a male. I had specifically requested a female. She then told me that the woman in question didn’t realize she had to work today. That threw me for a loop as that showed me how out of practice with business techniques they are. You do not tell a customer that. Anyway, I agreed to let this 6’4 male massage me, but told him I preferred not to have my thighs rubbed. Needless to say it was the worst massage of my life. Thank God it was spa week and the cost was only 50 dollars for 45 minutes(usual costs are upward of 90+ and not worth it imo). From the second he put his hands on me I could tell he was NOT a massage therapist. Turns out, I was right. Hours later my friend went in for her appointment and was told her therapist was in a car accident and she too had a male masseuse who told her during the massage that he was actually a personal trainer and could help to train her for a triathlon. Huh? I’m getting a massage, not a fitness evaluation! My therapist was sick. I could tell this from about 20 minutes in. He was sniffling and it just made it awkward. I almost got up and walked out but I knew I would still be charged as their rules are very clear. He did nothing for my back, shoulders or legs… hell, my entire body feels like someone rubbed hot coals all over it. The only reason I would go back to this Spa is to enjoy their steam room and sauna. Which is the ONE plus they have going for themselves and the only reason I rated them 2 stars. Do yourself a favor. Find a different place. The prices are ridiculous for what they offer and the environment is not conducive to a relaxing massage. I’ve had better massages for 20 bucks in the mall.

I wasn’t aware that this Spa is in a gym. That should have been my first sign that this wasnt the spa for me. The woman checking me in didnt bother to give me a tour of the facilities and the slow march past the men’s locker room in nothing but a robe wasnt to my liking. The treatment room was so cold the massage therapist commented that my feet were like blocks of ice. Not to mention, the music was way too loud but the woman giving me the massage was fantastic. I had all but forgotten the spa faux pas until the spa attendant interrupted me in the Sauna to ask if i was leaving so so she could check me out. Naked, i looked up and said, «Are You Serious?»
