Really nice Indian food, feels homemade. Also they are so friendly and warm. My favorite dish is their Malai Kofta and Samosa’s Ofcourse :)

I ordered delivery for the first time yesterday. As soon as I placed my order through I received a phone call saying they did not have fish today. would I like to substitute for something else. I was disappointed but ordered a lamb dish instead. Then was told they had no delivery person for another hour or so would I mind waiting. I thought to myself, the food better be worth it! And it was. I ended up grateful for the communication and I could tell they were making an effort to satisfy me. The aloo paratha was HUGE and quite tasty. The palak paneer is the best I’ve had from a restaurant in a long time. The lamb was tender, though the sauce was pretty heavy on oil. All in all I will try them again and look forward to it.

Delicious Indian takeout! I’ve had the chicken Tika masala and the Chana saag and both were delicious. The samosas are also really good. I’m so glad I live so close to this place.

I am a creature of habit when it comes to my fave Indian foods and have pretty much ordered the same thing from this place(delivery) every time. Their paneer tikka(which I douse in green chutney) has a permanent flavorful place in my heart. Yum.

If you like Indian food, but haven’t been to Spirit of Laxmi, you are seriously missing out. The slate of classic Indian dishes is sure to impress anyone. 5 stars/5 stars, I will eat here again.

I have lived in the area for about 5 years now and Spirit of Laxmi has always been a go-to place whenever I crave authentic Indian food and want to order in. Delivery is great. The staff is very polite and connects with the customer. Overall very creative with food especially Pizzas with Indian touch. Check out their collection of Desi Pizza’s. Love their Paneer 65 Pizza. The best is of course the Pav– Bhaji Pizza! Overall the folks there make you feel at home, and very open to feedback.

They have online delivery available and it’s on . We decided to call because there were issues ordering online and we gave them the order. A few minutes later the guy calls saying he doesn’t know where our location is. He didn’t even know where he was located! We are ten minutes away! I even checked online to see if they deliver to this area and according to they should. The guy kept saying«my delivery guy doesn’t know where that is. Where is it?» Even after giving detailed instructions, which I shouldn’t have to, he was like no I don’t know. You don’t know where Dickinson is dude? Horrible customer service. I asked if he had a smart phone or a gps or something, and he said no. Omg what kind of delivery service is this?! Don’t put that you do online delivery when you don’t know how to get anywhere! horrible horrible horrible

Only place we order the Indian take out from in Jersey City. Their Palak Paneer is the best that we have had in US. We like our food with little or no oil; every time our food is made fresh and delivered exactly how we want it to be. Two thumbs up for great food and even better customer service.

Some of the best places to get pizza from. Specially the pav bhaji pizza that I ordered once and it was so delicious. As a big fan of pav bhaji and pizza, I loved this new combination. Simply awesome.

Once you get passed the aesthetics(you’re ordering fresh made Indian food from what amounts to a combination deli/pizza/corner store), you can expect a fine meal of mostly-northern Indian classics: malai kofta, paneer dishes, kormas, and the like. The prices are as cheap as any you’ll find for Indian food downtown with the exception of Shadman and Shah Taj… but the food and selection at Spirit of Laxmi is an improvement. The Peshawari naan(filled with dried cherries, rasins, and nuts) and the fiery vindaloo are winners. I’ve yet to try the Indian pizza, though. Delivery time is pretty lousy(at a mile away, it still takes at least an hour for a small order) and finding parking can be a challenge.

Indian food is pretty ordinary. We ordered butter chicken and malai kofta from them. The malai kofta smelt of coffee and tasted yuck!

Great place for Indian food around exchange place… yes, it’s weird they are also a deli/pizza/grocery store… but the food is still excellent and not greasy… and common! Where else are you going to find Indian pizza around town?

The food wasn’t awful, but it was what you would expect coming from a deli/pizza place/grocery store/liquor store all in one. Let’s just say I’ve had better trader joes frozen indian meals. This place is okay if there’s no other indian option nearby and you’re not waiting 35 minutes for a delivery from an indian restaurant on newark ave. I was pretty dissatisfied with the meal and won’t be ordering from here again.

Only place for fusion Indian-themed pizza in town. They make some great paneer(cottage cheese) tikka pizzas and paneer-65 pizzas. We have had these on a couple of occasions and they don’t disappoint.
