Overall, living here is OK. Not great but not terrible. it has great amenities such as a doorman, package room, pool, and washer dryer/dishwasher in most units. They also allow pets. On the plus side, it is definitely one of the lowest priced«luxury» buildings, a term intentionally put in quotes. It is very clear that this is taken lightly and the management cuts costs everywhere possible. For instance, the carpets were just replaced and the walls painted. But, the paint job was messy and the trim was just painted plywood board that don’t fit against the wall properly. Overall, I would normally not complain about any of that since the building is kept clean and the staff are friendly. But, recently, management started renting many units as hotel rooms. There has been in influx of constant tourists –largely European. These tourists are rude, loud, and constantly blocking the entrances with suitcases or leaving garbage outside of the units.(Google Sky City apartments to see for yourself). Not to mention the fact that there are always strangers roaming the halls… Beware of this. I am not sure I would have moved in had I known this was going to happened without even any advanced notice and nothing you can do about it.
