I have bought one too many bottles of poorly stored, bad wine from this establishment. I should have stopped shopping there after the first bad bottle, but thought I’d give them the benefit of the doubt since it’s a neighborhood place and it’s so convenient! However, after I opened the second bottle that was clearly rancid, I called to ask for an exchange, and was yelled out very rudely by the owner. The owner of this establishment is apparently known around town as a horrible business owner who sells less than quality product. I wish I’d known or I’d never have given him a cent! Don’t shop here, go to Liberty Wines, it’s just a few(but worthwhile) blocks away!

A little pricer than your average liquor store but they have wines you can’t usually find at other stores(smoking loon-Malbec). Clean and well organized and all prices are clearly marked with an orange sticker on top.

They also have beer! All the way in the back. And they were playing Brooklyn Nine-Nine on the TV… I like places and people that have good taste(i.e. stuff I like). So for that extremely arbitrary reason, I’ll give this place a good grade. The late-ish closing time is a huge plus, beers at 8:00, needed a beer run an hour and a half later, and still open. A good mainstay for this part of town, so just keep it in mind.

Smaller shop with a decent selection. Close to the waterfront so you can grab a six and head over to the piers. Make sure you brown bag it…

Texas tourist here… Out on a hunt for some party juice. Found this place, which have great service and many selections from assorted wines, top shelf liquor and craft beers… They even have my shiner(texas beer)! Love this place… Definitely go back when we come back to visit the city again!

It would be cheaper to call a cab, get driven over to Buy Rite, make your purchases there and then have the cab drive you back. Look, I’ve gotten booze from here before in desperation. They have a good selection. But my god, the prices chip away at my soul.

Decent selection and good service, but drive 5 minutes to Super Buy Rite and everything is about $ 10– $ 20 cheaper.

I hate to sound like an alchoholic, and no, I’m not an alcoholic. But I love this store. They had quite few of the wines that I like, and even some alcohol that I have a hard time finding in NYC. The variety is great. Absolutely great. The people in the store are also very helpful. I needed help finding a good bottle of white wine to go with sushi, and the lady recommended Apothic Wine, Winemaker’s Blend, which was a combination of Riesling, Chardonay and Moscato. I had specifically requested for wine that was not dry. This wine was perfect, it was sweet, but not too sweet, not like desert wine. It was also very reasonable, just $ 13.99 per bottle. We told her we were going to drink it right away, so she gave us a chilled bottle instead.

No neighborhood is complete without a local wine & liquor store. Great diverse selection to suit your needs, ranging from beer to champagne. It’s a bit overpriced for some bottles, but I’m willing to pay the extra fee if it means I don’t have to walk all the way to ShopRite. Open to 10pm on weeknights.

Great beer selection here. Liberty Wine on corner of Washington & Morris wins when it comes to wine selection, but I will walk the extra couple of blocks if I am going out for beer. Everything from Bud to Tecate to Hefeweizen to Sapporo… and yes, Gabby M… they have San Miguel! Not often can you find a gem like that. The selection is not only wide, but it is consistent. That is key when dealing with a neighborhood supplier of boooze. If you are a picky alcoholic… i mean connoisseur… like myself then you want to make sure your favorites will be in stock. The owners are very friendly, and always willing to help you find what you need… or at least a close substitute. I like that as well. And if you are the«kill 2 birds with 1 stone» type, they do carry a small, but decent variety of reasonably priced wines from all regions.

They carry 6-packs of San Miguel. My liver squealed with delight, pride, and nostalgia for my motherland that is the Philippines. Each bottle represents 5 stars, but Unilocal will not allow me to add an extra star. 5 stars for now. One more thing– they do indeed have a carefully chosen and smaller but excellent selection of wines, sake, some beer, and hard top shelf liquor that will make any AA alumni fall off the wagon in no time. Come here for the weekly wine specials under $ 20. I’ll come here for the San Miguel in my weekly pit stop before hitting the Holland Tunnel. I will try not to be tempted to open one of those bottles during my ride home, but I can’t promise you anything.
