PODS

My belongings were in this storage facility for 5 years. I had no problems setting up appointments to access my storage unit in that time, however be warned-​they take the container back into the storage facility at 4 or 5pm, so you have to arrange it around their times which can be really inconvenient. There was this one time where I hit traffic on my way there and the gentleman in charge just so happen to have to stay late, so he kept my container out late, but that was after some serious convincing.

I just recently unloaded everything out of my container and everything is COVERED IN DIRT/​SOOT. I don’t know what this black substance is all over everything, but I have had to wash and clean EVERYTHING… even things inside taped boxes. Chairs with white covers are ruined, clothes are all having to be washed. it is a nightmare.
There are MANY reasons why I wouldn’t use PODS for my future moving and storing needs, but this last reason regarding the FILTH I am dealing with is by far the most annoying.

This was about the worst moving experience I have ever had. Their customer service people are the worst I have ever encountered — they were rude, disinterested, and put me on hold for 15 minutes after I asked to speak to a supervisor because the customer service agent was so rude and unhelpful. I never did get a return call from a supervisor or any indication that my issue was being dealt with. They started off by screwing up the date the POD was to be picked up from my old house, so I have had to wait almost a week without clothes or furniture. Next, the driver this morning tells me he can’t park the POD in my driveway because there is a tree branch in the way. So he parks it 50 yards away, despite my instructions to the contrary. Great, I can’t wait to unload the POD in 100 degree heat and then have to carry my heavy items 50 yards.
Absolutely horrible customer service — use at your own risk. I will never, ever use these clowns again.
