How does this place have five-​star reviews? Even if they’re by locals, there are some glaring things that I would think pretty much no one could overlook. First, the service. My husband and I got the ‘you’re not from around here’ once-​over and then was told that we couldn’t get coffee until she cleaned some cups. Okaaaaay. Second, the coffee. Swill is too nice a word. We’re not coffee snobs, but come on! This stuff was rancid! Honestly, the food was not too bad; in fact, the potatoes were amazing. So if they purchased more kitchenware and switched to a better coffee, perhaps it would have squeezed another star out of me.

There are so many other eateries in the area that have a better atmosphere than this. We walked in and left immediately. Sorry for the poor review since we didn’t try the food, but honestly this place needs some work. It seems from the reviews that this is a place the locals go, so maybe looks are deceiving.

Found this place while staying in the Poconos. Not much to look at, but the breakfast was great! Big portions for a very reasonable price. The owner is very nice, and I had a country fried steak that was deliciously perfect.

Some friends and I were on a weekend getaway near Jim Thorpe and came here for brunch. It was excellent! Great food and friendly service. The omelettes and pancakes were particularly good. Highly recommended!

The best breakfast you can get in all of Jim Thorpe Pa. Great little family run resturant. Got to give credit to the two sisters who own this place and run it too! Open 7 days a week.
I love the potatoes and the coffee is perfect, haven’t been able to clean my plate it’s a ton of food and the prices are even better. This place is open on a Monday this site says closed but the last few months they have been open. I also believe the hours are until 1pm not 2

Great breakfast place. .local family business, like eating at home only better. Love the spinach scrambler, my husband loves Jen… she is still deciding if she loves him. But she let’s us come back!
