I am starting by saying that this is a VERY strong 4 star. I am a natural born critic and I have certain unreasonable expectations when I go for breakfast… and this community-friendly, casual and comfy restaurant deserves accolades. Was going to find someplace to have breakfast and was driving down the road when we saw the flashing«OPEN» sign and so we pulled in. Greeted as soon as we entered and invited to take a seat in the next room. The ambiance was definitely a community, independent, honest, family-owned and run restaurant. Offered a breakfast special for $ 6.25. Worth every penny. The eggs were fresh, the homefries were delicious and seasoned perfectly, the bacon crispy and the toast was golden brown. The toast came dry, but it wasn’t an issue because they had the butter on the table and it was soft… spread out while the toast was still hot… I’ll take that any day over pre-buttered toast that is cold and too light or too dark. The coffee was a little weak… that is my only real issue. I believe that a breakfast place must live and die by their coffee… Good coffee can sometimes make up for lack luster service and cuisine… but the service here is great, the food is great… the coffee could use a little work. Will I be back? YES! The potatoes and bacon alone are strong enough lures… My buddy that was with me told me that the biscuit was WONDERFUL… flakey, light and soft. I will try that the next time.
