Amazing! After only a few sessions I can see how 20 minutes a day, two days a week gets results. I’m normally a skeptical person and going in I didn’t really see how this could possibly work but this is the real deal. The visuals that the machines provide give you instant feedback on how you’re doing. Very happy with my trainer Adam at the John’s Creek location and am looking forward to seeing where I’m at 6 months from now.

I’m very big into fitness, but there was always a point where I would plateau and give up. I just started the exercise coach a month ago and I can honestly say I have never felt so good. Best part is you can actually see the results everytime you are there. The coaches are motivating and inviting and there is no judgement… only encouragement! I HIGHLY recommend ‘The Exercise Coach’ :)

Started at the Exercise Coach approximately three months ago. The experience has been great, and very early into it, I began to feel better and to build muscle tone. I so much appreciate the personal attention and everybody there has been great! I highly recommend it! Kathy M, age 56 Alpharetta

They have computerized and mechanical weight machines as well as a few cardio machines. The idea is very low reps but very high resistance should get better results with much less time than conventional fitness training. With the computer machines, you push or pull as hard as you can see the force of your resistance on a graph. Nothing actually moves. The weight stack machines are like those found anywhere. Exercise Coach is very committed to keeping client sessions to 20 minutes, and during my several months experience, there was little variety in the routines. You pay $ 349/month for 2 twenty minute guided sessions per week. Their theory is that you get way more results this way than doing lots of reps at low weight. This is great for someone like me who hates working out. Twenty minutes of excruciatingly hard resistance and six minutes of very intense cardio and you’re done. However, the«trainers» are basically low-paid cheerleaders and are not necessarily certified or even experienced in physiology. The most concerning part of this program is that there’s no preliminary stretching or warming up. I developed a joint injury that required medical attention and physical therapy. I had to use pain medication and walk with a cane for several weeks. I lost the strength gains, muscle tone and any other improvements I might have made, such as reduced body fat.(Never got around to follow up measurements.) I gained back the few pounds I had lost, but now wear one size larger! There may indeed be a shortcut to fitness, but this isn’t it.
