Small store but packed with goodies. Wine. Flowers. Food. Pharmacy. Ice cream. Narrow aisles. But overall great experience. Great great service. Our check out experience was fantastic. Very cordial. Did you find everything. Just as one would expect in a supermarket. Loved it and would recommend.

I love Harris Teeter’s as a whole and this one is in a nice looking building in beautiful Freshfields Village. I will say that I do get a little frustrated with this location because the isles are too small and the layout is not very good. With that being said it is always very clean, they have a nice deli, coffee bar, and a great meat department. With the nice looking store and all of these amenities it’s too bad that the experience is always less than what I’ve come to expect from the brand because of the layout and space issues.

Harris Teeter at Fresh Fields is that friendly grocery story with that small town feel. The grocery store has a large deli with a good selection of both hot and cold items along with the healthy and not so healthy items. Overall you will find what you need from fresh veggies to a very good meat selection. Clean, Friendly staff and more…

Beautiful grocery, much like the Kroger back home. Great food but limited space. They also have a Starbucks in the store. 4 stars instead of 5 because of all the dopey affluent vacationers who were causing traffic jams because they were out of their comfort zones. Yes, donuts are sold by the dozen. Yes, they sell bread.

I used to shop at Harris Teeter religiously when I lived in Charlotte, NC quite some time ago. This is the first time I have been to one since then. I was actually really happy that they had one near where we were staying on Seabrook Island. The prices are reasonable, they have a good selection of food stuffs, and they also have a great deal on fresh baked pizza Monday’s. It’s only $ 7.99 per pizza, and we certainly took advantage of this! It was very good. They happened to overcook one of them but they were VERY busy! The manager gave us that pizza free. It is good to have a very standard grocery store in a resort/vacation area. We happened to bring the majority of our food with us, but were very pleased to find we didn’t have to pay double the price for items that we needed! We will certainly be shopping here again while we are here and when we return!

This Harris teeter is out at Kiawah. Some items are a little pricey but everything is similar to the other stores. Really big and wide open, one problem is the restrooms. Boy are they rough! Come one folks clean them up once and a while. One really positive note is the food! So good. They have specials, one side with and entrée, $ 5! Cant beat that. Of course really delicious sweets. Great selection of bottled teas for only a $ 1!

A big disappointment. The staff is unhappy, unprofessional, and unfriendly. There were a couple people wanting to help but the atmosphere is glum and the eating area where they make the sub sandwiches was filthy. I observed while sitting at a very dirty table there were trash cans overloaded, floors dirty and food made in advance was covered to try to keep flies off of it. I was there yesterday for the Oktoberfest and was very disappointed in their lack of gluten-free options. Was there again this morning to get a cup of coffee to head out. Unprofessional, unwilling staff. Newton farms always had good choices, friendly service, and options were very fresh. Have been going to the area now for six years and will avoid this store in the future.

Alas, it appears that Harris Teeter has purchased the old Newton Farms Piggly Wiggly. Now, I like Harris Teeter. It’s where I shop in North Carolina. Unfortunately, part of the appeal of vacationing in the area was the excursion to the quaint local supermarket. That quaint market feels more corporate now. I’m not sure the prices have really gone down, either. The buyout also comes with the sad reality that a big-box store doesn’t fit well in the space of a small grocer. There are still some things missing that would be in a normal HT(we had one heck of a time finding organic lettuce, for instance). The tipping point hinges upon a program that they’re running which gives people from eastern European countries the opportunity for a work exchange program. Now, I think this is fantastic. In theory, at least. Young people get exposed to new cultures and get valuable work experience in the process. Unfortunately, the grocery store has these folks manning service counters and walking the sales floor, and most of them cannot speak English. This is a bit of a problem in a customer service job. Asking where the jam is should not have to involve someone going to the back to fetch a manager. This happened about three times during a single visit(the getting a manager, not the jam part. I promise, we don’t eat that much jam), because these employees seemed to comprise about ¼ of the staff. I wish HT were utilizing these folks in a way that would expose them to customers a little less, or at the very least staggering their schedules so that customers aren’t running into a non-English speaking employee on every aisle. As it is, it’s a great program that unfortunately ends up frustrating customers a bit. All in all, our consensus was that we greatly miss the old overpriced Piggly Wiggly. For better or worse, it was an integral part of the vacation in years past.

Replaced Newton Farms(Piggly Wiggly) with Harris Teeter. Bigger selection in longer Aisle makes it more of a «normal» Grocery. I prefer it that way since means you get upscale and regular items. I also got a VIC card even though I am only here part of the year which has some decent discounts.

What used to be a special store we would frequent on vacations to Seabrook has been replaced by a regular grocery store. Nothing special, just the basics and a novice staff.

We loved this Harris Teeter being so close and convenient to the Marriott we stayed at. The prices were very reasonable for groceries and food. There is a Starbucks inside, a deli, a hot foods selection, salad bar, sushi, etc. We were not in the mood to go to a restaurant, just wanting to bring something back to our hotel… my husband had a sub which he said was great and I had the hot bar with the salmon filet and veggies and green beans. I was surprised by how delicious it all was! very filling and good. we just sat on the patio at our hotel and ate and it made for a great evening. Would go back if we stayed longer and stock up on more groceries and snacks. Service was excellent, everyone was very friendly.

Horrible Horrible Horrible! I used to have my complaints about Newton Farms but in the end that was a nice supermarket considering the size and location. This new Harris Teeter is one of the worst supermarkets I’ve ever shopped at. Fish — looks like its been sitting around for weeks. Aren’t we on the Atlantic coast? Butcher — thankfully Frank’s sausage is still around, but I have a feeling we’re going to be seeing more Johnsonville and less Frank based on all the other changes HT is making. Prepared food — The Newton Farms prepared food section was the worst thing about that market, yet this one is somehow worse. How about something edible we can buy and eat? Bread — they have La Brea which is fine, but finding a loaf with whole grains is like finding a four-leaf clover. Gourmet cheese selection — gone. Lots of pre-packaged stuff though! Spices — just McCormick regular brand. That’s it. I got freaking Fennel Pollen in NF! Even Bi-Lo(Big Pig) has some gourmet spices. Wine — still outrageously overpriced, but without the great selection that NF had. They’re running out of room for the mass-market swill. Beer — BRUTAL. What used to be a great craft section is now mostly Bud. Where’s the local beer??? Palmetto? Are you kidding me? That’s really the best you can do? Where’s the Westbrook? Coast? Thomas Creek? This area is teeming with craft breweries, yet none seem to be represented. Seasonal — was just in there for Easter candy. No jellybeans, no chocolate eggs. But 5 different colors of peeps! Freaking ridiculous. Lamest holiday display I’ve ever seen. Anyway I used to shop at NF just about every day when I was on the island, now I stock up at Publix on the way in or in CHS when I am there, hoping I never have to set foot in HT. What a shame.

Great service and selection. I don’t understand the complaints on this site. I’m quite a snob for Whole Foods and this market was right up there. Meat and seafood fresh and produce as well. The staff seemed well trained and looking for ways to help when I had that list loom on my face. Well run

Horrible quality. We miss the pig — and the people. We’ve noticed that the workers hate the new management. I’m surprised that they were out of most items around the 1st.

Excellent supermarket with an extensive selection. Shopped there twice two days before Thanksgiving and the day before Thanksgiving when the store was very busy, but there were no lines and the employees were extremely friendly, courteous, and helpful.
