Taqueria La Michoacana

I expected taco truck quality of «not bad’ to «pretty good» but I got «better than most taquerias in San Francisco.» I moved from NYC to San Francisco years ago and so have tried my fair share of Mexican food around California. This is better than almost all taquerias, and better than all taco trucks, I’ve tried.
The food is fresh and very tasty. The staff is super nice. The setting is clean and pretty with tables in the shade and wildflowers around us (in September).
We had:
— veggie burrito and they had real veggies in there, not just peppers and onions, excellent burrito.
— meat burrito, my cousin was very happy and she’s a gourmet chef.
— shredded beef quesadilla, more (well-​seasoned tasty) meat than cheese, never seen that and now we’re spoiled.

P. S. The sauces on the table are the real thing: HOTTTT. So use with caution. I couldn’t use them at all but I’m a sissy when it comes to Mexican hot pepper sauces.

As the five-​star rating suggests, woohoo! This is as good as it gets… in taco trucks on the East Coast. The very nice Sra. Patricia, who single-​handedly runs the taco truck from 11AM-​3PM Mon-​Sat year-​round has THE most delicious tacos and quesadillas I’ve tasted on the East Coast, She offers tacos de pollo, de carne asada, al pastor and de lengua AND she has the REAL Coca Cola from Mexico (made with cane sugar, not corn syrup) to go with them. She also has tortas, but I don’t do tortas, so no comment there. Each plate comes garnished with one of the most succulent roasted jalapenos you will ever taste. She also has a nice picnic table with a tent over it so you don’t have to eat standing up if you don’t want to.
When we visited today there were three real Mexicans eating there, plus two white folks from the local high rent district. This is not your mob scene taco truck, but boy is the food good.
I lived in various parts of Mexico for three years and ate many tacos there and I can say with full confidence that if you like tacos and you happen to be in this remote area of SC, GO FOR IT.
