What a great venue! It’s great for bands, oyster roasts, festivals, or just playing a round of disc golf or skiing. There are two twin lakes with most events occurring between them. There is plenty of space for vendors and a large stage for bands to perform. One of the lakes is set-up for«practice», while the other lake usually has«performers». They have a slalom course and the regulars can do so many tricks. It’s amazing. There are plenty of big trees for shade, plus areas of sunshine if that is your preference. You can sit by the water’s edge and get away from the hustle and bustle of an event, or sit right front and centre before the band on stage. They always bring in port-o-potties, so don’t plan to be too modest when you make the trip out. You might want to bring some extra toilet paper just in case, although I have never been to an event where they ran out. Good management. ;-) When it comes to putting on big events, they are set up like a well-oiled machine. They have staff who man the entrance, take tickets/money quickly, direct you to parking, and then you walk a short distance to all the festivities. It’s always a good time. It’s just a short drive out on Johns Island, so don’t let the location scare you away. It’s a little country come to town in my opinion, and I love it.

Such a great place. Took my 2 little girls to the alligator Jacks event today and we had a blast, very well run and probably one of the best weekends I’ve had in recent memory! Gotta get out again soon for some disc golf!

This may be the coolest place for outdoor recreation in the universe! I wish could live here! They have water skiing, a wakeboard cable park, SUP, kayaking, and probably one of the nicest disc golf courses in the country. Whether you are a shedder, a skier, a disc slinger, or looking to learn this is the place to be! Get on it! The people that work here are always super friendly and the water sports instructors are really good. The pro shop is fantastic for water sports but also has a HUGE selection of discs for golfing. Disc golf is $ 6 for all day. The prices for the water sports vary but I would say they are reasonable for the experience and there is something for everyone. Now, GO. ANDGETONIT!

Great disc golf course with a friendly staff who check you in and leave you alone to enjoy the grounds. The water sports look fun though I’ve only enjoyed them from afar as I’m tossing some discs. Also looks like a fun place to camp overnight and I think it’s awesome that will allow you to do that. They have been having more and more events out here which is great for john Island.

Trophy Lakes has been repeatedly ranked the number one slalom ski course in the world! See WaterSki magazine. 20 minutes sessions are very reasonably priced. The lake is designed so that the wake washes out after each pass. The well-stocked ski and wakeboard shop allows for trial of the ski or wakeboard for 5% of the selling price. The wakeboard cable park is also a lot of fun. It’s within easy reach from any of the Charlston beaches.

Beautiful, clean area with really friendly staff. Just note that if you’re doing wake boarding, it’s advertised per hour but you’re probably only gonna be on the water for 15 minutes.

Let’s get one thing straight: my hand-eye coordination skills are equivalent to that of a mole in daylight. With that being said, I’d highly recommend the cable park at Trophy Lakes to anyone who wants to learn how to waterski or wakeboard because they’ll have you up & running in no time! The staff is extremely friendly & make you feel at home. While they may be pros on the water, they’ll encourage you & keep your spirits high as you’re diving face first into the water. Prices range from $ 20-$ 25/hr(depending on the season) plus equipment rentals, but keep an eye out for groupons! They usually offer great deals pretty regularly. Also check out their disc golf course! While I haven’t played on it, I have a lot of friends who insist it’s one of the best in the low country!

Beautiful space to play DiscGolf. $ 5.00 for 18 holes, but if you purchase two discs, you get your round free. You are able to play at any time because they have a drop box for cash rounds. Several holes have water hazards which makes the game interesting. Write your name on the disc! If you lose it in the water, not all hope is lost; they scrub the lakes for discs and hold them for people to claim. I would like to add they have wake boarding during the day. Trophy Lakes is a must see!
