Salsa was like water with jalapeño seeds. Grilled chicken had no flavor. I ordered my kids 2 burgers from children’s menu and 1 didn’t get pickles they said they ran out. guacamole was the worst ive had. very long wait for the food that tasted that bad. Staff was friendly.

Atmosphere: Typical mexican restaurant décor
Service: Server was awesome, quick, friendly, offered a take home box without me having to even ask.
Food: I had a combination plate. Taco, enchilada and chile relleno was sub-​par. The meat had almost no flavor. The chile relleno was definitely different from what I’m used to. They sweat the skin of the chile and then stuff it with meat and cheese. I didn’t really like it. Beans were a little pasty, Rice was little dry.
Cost: Overpriced.
Overall: Probably not gonna go back

Service is somewhat unfriendly but tolerable. Food is better than average and cheap! If the servers would actually smile they would have received a fourth star. One plus is the amount of food they serve. Definitely meant for american wastelines.

My friend said it was a good cheap Mexican restaurant. Well the cheap part was right! My waiter didn’t say «hello» or «welcome» just «how many» and «over here» as he tosses the menus down. The food was fast. However, what I like about Mexican is the flavor and the only flavor on my plate was the cheese! My beans were runny, the red sause on my enchilada was salty, but hey it was a flavor, and the taco meat was dry, dry, dry! I will try it again to give it another shot but BAD first impression! :(Not my amigo!

Really loved the food. Gone there consistantly for over 5 years. I always get the burrito delux and the flan is excellent, though they keep trimming the portions down.
But overall excellent.

the tilapia tacos were pretty good… so were the margaritas. =) you can’t beat 2 for 1 margarita happy hour specials. the food is legit, good prices, service is good too. one of the better restaurants i’ve been to in johnson city. i’ll be back. no doubt.

I like amigos. There is nothing special about the food, it is just good tasting basic mexican food. I really really like to Pollo Loco.

I’m not sure what was up with my veggie burrito. It looked more like an enchilada. Basically, it was a skinny rolled flour tortilla with grilled peppers and onions inside (and what, no guacamole or refried beans?) and doused in queso sauce… with a side of lettuce shreds and pico and a dollop of sour cream. It wasn’t terrible for whatever it was, but I doubt it passes for a burrito…

love love love amigos, have moved away and can’t find anything that measures up to amigos! they have the best salsa, great prices and fast service. It was one of our favorite places to eat… must try!

My old roommate and I used to eat here all the time. They never got her order right but we loved it anyway. The staff is so friendly and the food is so cheap. Now that I live in Baton Rouge I’ve had much better Mexican food, but there’s something about this place that is just so special anyway.
