Best chicken biscuit ever. I tried the country fried steak biscuit and it was very good. The hash browns were good too. Wish they had one in Virginia.

Let’s start with the really good aspects of Bojangles. The place is very clean, bright and feels like there was a fairly recent remodel. All very good things for a fast food place and ones that many cannot claim. The service people are also really nice, efficient and pleasant which I really appreciate. If that was all I was reviewing on this place would get five stars but of course you also come for the food. This review is only based on breakfast which they have been heavily advertising so when I get a chance I will try the famous fried chicken as well. I asked what was recommended for breakfast which they serve all day. I was told the current special is the pork chop and biscuit which I may try next time. Also the chicken and biscuit is the staple here. I opted for the combination platter which I actually felt was kinda pricey when I saw what was included at $ 6 — not really pricey but it is pretty basic(see posted picture). It includes scrabbled eggs, biscuits with jam or gravy, and meat(either sausage or bacon) with a cup of coffee. The combo was disappointing for the most part. The eggs were obviously cooked in bulk and a little watery. The biscuit was obviously fresh and good as they advertise. The single sausage was tasty and cooked well. The coffee was stale — like it had been brewed over an hour ago — the coffee dispenser was blinking that a new brew was required — this is a great touch if they actually do it but it was obviously an old brew. I might have asked for fresh if I had more time. There were not very many people here for rush breakfast time of 8 am but the drive through was hopping. So overall it is not bad — but not motivated to return right away. I will update when I am able to try some other dishes but I think the 3 stars is fair.

This was our first time at bojangles, and probably our last. We heard that it was like a Popeyes, and sure, it looked like Popeyes, but the chicken and biscuits just didn’t cut it for us. The dirty rice and the beans complemented the chicken pretty well, but for a chicken and biscuits joint, it just didn’t quite measure up. The staff was nice enough and the sweet tea was pretty good. I suppose there isn’t much else in johnson city, so if you’re hungry it’s not a bad option, but if you’re looking for some good fried chicken, go somewhere else.

Hell yeah, another first. So, this place is very interesting. Right when I stepped in I felt like I was walking into a restaurant from«No Country For Old Men». The lady behind the counter looked like she’s had the same style since the 70’s. It started off nicely when every time she would ask me a question or acknowledge what I said, she would end it with«babe» or «sweetie». She’s old school. I did find it hard to believe she didn’t have a cigarette in her mouth, but sure she takes a ton of smoke breaks. She was rough looking but nice as hell. I ordered just a chicken biscuit and fries for breakfast. It was pretty tasty and I would like to go back to check out lunch stuff. I could be classified as a fast food connoisseur. I’m staying at the hotel just 3 blocks away and that’s why I chose this place. Well, that and the sign. How can you pass up a place that has a sign that says«Famous Chicken’n Biscuits»? That’s right, you can’t. Anytime I’m some place new and see a sign that says«Famous» in it, then I’m like a moth to fire. I have to check it out even if it get burnt. This time I definitely was not.
