The final product(my manicure) looks fantastic, 5 star. But when averaged with my 1 star rating of experience, I had to give D&J a 3. I was the first customer on a Friday morning around 2 minutes after they opened. There is a TON of pedicure chairs lining either side of the wall(i counted 19 plus a child’s pedi chair). So many that it feels cramped and i immediately decided i would not come back for a pedicure. My fear would be that with all those pedi chairs, how would they have enough technicians to get you out timely?(I’ve been stuck soaking in a pedi chair before, and don’t want that to happen again!) I was directly to a middle table for my gel soak off and gel mani. The chairs were disorganized and i was confused as to which one to sit in — the realy really dirty one? No, that was for the tehcnicians, they pulled me over a red leather-like chair. The female technician worked on my nails for bit, buffing the polish to soak them off, but she wasn’t careful with the file and did knick my skin a bit. Then i was handed off to the guy beside her(who was just hanging out there while i had my mani) because she had to work on the next client who needed acrylics. The male technician did FANTASTIC work. My manicure is beautiful. But the salon did not feel very clean and/or tidy to me and they were refilling bottles of acetone, lotion, and callus remover right behind my mani table in the floor.(Think gallon sized containers and squirt bottles, EVERYWHERE) My least favorite part was that the tech used his pointed thumb nail to remove the excess polish from the sides of my nails and the nail bed. He didn’t wash his hands in front of me before he started working and that thumb nail really gave me the willies. I didn’t say anything though, because it was obviously an effective tool! I just really prefer the sanitized ones!!! If you’re looking for outcome, not experience, go here. Again, my mani is beautiful. I’m just not willing to go through that again. Great price too. $ 25 for soak off and mani.

Wife, daughter, and mother-in-law needed mani-pedis and chose this nail studio — spa in Johnson City. It took about 3 hours, but they seemed to be very satisfied, and felt quite pampered. We live in Georgia, but if mani-pedis are again required when in this area … I’m sure that we will be back.
