Ehrlich Pest Control

I have been a pest control customer for years. I was upsold to the weed control offering this spring and signed a contract more than five weeks ago. Nobody has shown up and, at this point, the patio is completely overgrown with weeds. I can’t even get an update. NEGATIVE STARS. At this point, I think I’ll just resource my pest control contract too. What a rip-​off.
I should add: while my profile says Manhattan, this service was for a home in the greater Binghamton area.

Please read this carefully before you contract with this company! I called them this fall for complaints of bits on my children. They came and checked for bed bugs and said we did not have them. They instead found a birds nest in my attic and diagnosed us with bird mites, which they treated for.
Two weeks later, still with bites, they retreated for bird mites. A month later, still with bites, I emptied my kids rooms thinking it had to be something. Still with bites, the third time, they said I needed have my kids sleep in their rooms to attract the bird mites out of their hiding, and come out and get exposed to the pesticide they had applied.
Needless to say I did not do this. Fast forward to January 2015– yes! We dealt with this from Sept 2014 to January 2015. Out of desperation I got a second opinion who within one day accurately diagnosed bed bugs! We dealt with this for 4 months-​over the holidays. I spent three entire weekends at the laundry mat washing everything in super hot water and bagging in extra large zip lock bags.
Each time I called, I would get passed around from one person in central registration, to a regional director to a local person, who would then want to take my number and call me back at their convenience. A major disappointing factor is that this company came highly recommended from a nursing supervisor of a local hospital-​so I felt confident they would do a thorough job and kept dealing with them. I should have ditched them MONTHS ago. When I shared with them that another local company diagnosed us with bed bugs I sent them evidence with a picture from my cell phone. They had the audacity to email me back with a quote to treat for bed bugs!!! Are you kidding me???
Because the identification and treatment was protracted and delayed it was unfortunately passed onto my adult daughters home and she ended up needing to have her house treated. I entertained over the entire holiday season and unknowingly transmitted this to other extended family. At this stage I have not decided to litigate however I am sure I would have grounds. I will be however filing a complaint with the better business bureau.
RUN AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AS FAST AS YOU CAN!
