After reading the reviews on here I have to say what my experience was 2 yrs ago. I placed an order and after it took forever to arrive I called and cancelled it. The women was so fin rude I told her I wanted to speak to her boss. She just kept hanging up on me. I redialed numerous times and same thing. Then when I called again she obviously took the phone off the hook~! What a joke for a professional establishment. They should not be in business!

THIS PLACE SUCKS ASS!!!1111! First off they charge you fir everything. $ 1 Delivery $ 1 for using your card??? Its 2015 you fucks. I ordered the pepper streak and I kid you not, 85% Peppers and Onions. 15% Steak. Wuddup wit dat??? Then my worst decesion of all was to give this place a second chance. I ordered the Roast Pork with garlic sauce. This next part gets good. I then proceed to open the container with my meal and I am instantly flabbergasted. Words cannot describe how this made me feel not only emotionally but spiritually. I then immediately without delay, geabbed the phone. I almost called 911 out of just pure lawfull and moral instinct. I told them about their poor performance and they told me theyd give me 10% off my next order. Great now I have to eat this shitty food again!!! After the phone call what else could I do but atleast attempts to consume what I paid for. This next part is the icing on the cake. After approximately 47.6% of my meal was finished I located a small pube-​like hair in my pork frjed rice. I shall never eat at New Century Chinese Restaurant again!!!

i checked this place out to see if it was really as bad as everyone on here says it is. i got a few of my usual staples, like sesame chicken, bbq ribs, and beef teriyaki. the store is small and not the cleanest, so i’d suggest getting your food to go, but according to other reviewers it looks like delivery isn’t a good way to go. i’ve never had chinese delivery, always pickup and i always pay in cash and i’ve never had issues. the guy on the phone who took my order seemed nice and everything was fine when i picked up my order.
i tried the sesame chicken lunch special with pork fried rice. it comes with a free soda, which a lot of places don’t give you, so who cares if it’s an off brand like Bubba Cola? it’s free and it almost tastes like pepsi, i don’t see a reason to complain about it. now the food on the other hand, the sesame chicken didn’t have much flavor. the texture was good but it tasted like the oil they fried it in was dirty. i had that same feeling when i ate the pork eggroll i ordered too. the pork fried rice wasn’t that good either, i barely ate any of it.
i also tried the BBQ spare ribs. the flavor was good and they were saucier than most chinese ribs i’ve had, but it had the typical chewy texture to em. the beef teriyaki was ok, nothing to complain about. it seems like a lot of reviewers on here just want to find things to whine about, including MSG, which i think might just be in their heads.

The food has tons of msg and tastes less than satisfactory or somewhat box like. The place is old and it seems the owners are trying to keep on running it even though its kinda ugly. They have cheap prices but I would never recommend anyone to even try their food even if it’s dirt cheap. Even if they do deliver!

it’s really not a bad restaurant The service was really nice and the food tasted hot and fresh. The building did have a little funky oder though but other than that i thought it was a pleasant experience

ABSOLUTELY THE WORST. I don’t usually write reviews but this place is so sh*tty that I just have to say something. Really really really bad customer service, absolutely terrible food. Picked up the phone and kept me hanging while serving other customers without any apologies, in fact the lady didn’t even tell me to patiently wait, she literally picked up the phone, kept me hanging, then continued to serve someone else like I was supposed to wait for her to serve me, who is serving who??? So congrats for making into my list of The Rudest Service Ever. Food was terrible too, I mean in Johnson city, it’s really really hard to find a place with good food at the first place, but even with the Johnson-​city-​low-​standard this place’s food is still BAD. With the absolute rude customer service and the absolute sh*t food, they included tips in the bill without any explanations? What makes you think you deserve the 15% of tips???
To put this whole paragraph into one sentence: This place is absolute sh*t.

The absolute worst food ever. The food, although covered in tons of brown sauce and MSG, is very bland.
Delivery takes forever.
Never again.

Awesome food and had excellent customer service everytime I have been there.
