I’ve eaten here several times and the food is always good. The salsa bar has a good selection from mild to hot and a lot of flavors. The chicken taco salad had a good amount of grilled chicken and was the right size for a lunch special(5.99). Today, they lost two stars due to poor service. Four workers at the counter when I walked in, not one looked up. After standing there for 30 seconds, the guy started working and took me to my seat. The waitress took my drink order which came in good time but left immediately because she forgot the straw(which I didn’t ask for). She came back a few minutes later and dropped off the straw and almost left again without taking my order. The food came in good time. She did not come back asking about my meal, nor refill my water. I then had to wait for my check. They were not busy at all when I came in, but it did pick up while I was there. It was not to busy to give expected service. I really hope this was an anomaly and not indicative of a new normal.

Cannot believe there is a legit Mexican restaurant in the Tri-Cities! Very clean, friendly waiter and the biggest menu I think I’ve ever seen. Can’t wait to go back!!!

this is the best Mexican I’ve ever had nothing in the Tri Cities can come close. I had the Chipotle fajitas and my wife had the fajitas steak and chicken and they are fantastic. The salsa bar has a great variety mild to wild. this will be the only Mexican restaurant I go to in the future. great friendly service too. I also stop in for chips and salsa to go. The salsa Verde is amazing. I could eat an old gym shoe if it were covered in this salsa.

I expected to see Olé Anderson or maybe Arn Anderson making guacamole in their post wrestling career but much to my chagrin no such luck. However the food was good and no wild elk walked up and ate my food.

I went here with a large group and everyone really liked what they ordered. We had a really tasty family-sized guacamole appetizer which they prepared table-side. The only misfire from this experience was the ceviche. We tried the fish cerviche, which came in a surprisingly large portion. In my opinion, the problem was the type of fish they used. I thought it was cut too finely and so it seemed a little bit mushy. It wasn’t spoiled or anything, just wasn’t all that appetizing. It certainly did not ruin the whole experience though. Tamales were great, as were the fish tacos and stuffed avocado. If you are passing by on interstate 26, this place isn’t far from exit 24 and definitely worth a stop.

This is by far the best Mexican food in the tri cities! The table side guacamole started us off perfectly. The lady that made it was a true artist and she had me mesmerized. Perfection! Every bite of our food was delicious. Large portions and reasonable prices. Friendly service. I just wish Kingsport had a restaurant like this!

I have dined there three times now and have consistently experienced great service and good food. margaritas and beer specials, fresh made guacamole at your table(hold the onions please) and traditional Mexican tacos are fantastic. They also have a family friendly atmosphere and kids eat free night(call ahead to check on specials).
