It doesn’t surprise me why this placed closed. It was poorly run. The place was beautifully decorated, but the owners/managers seemed more interested in gathering at a table and talking among themselves than doing anything to help run the place. You couldn’t get out of there no matter what you ordered in under an hour. Food orders were frequently wrong and the absence of lunch specials made the place entirely too expensive to go to frequently for lunch. The gyro’s were always greasy… too greasy. I placed a to go order one day and was told I couldn’t have my soup because they didn’t have a container for it, but they wouldn’t discount my order for the missing item and when I asked for a different side dish, they wanted to charge me extra for it. That was my last visit. I cannot wait for something better run to fill that space.

What an awesome place to eat! We were first timers today and will definitely be back. Grilled chicken and paste panini was excellent. Great tasting biscuits and gravy too!

So far it’s been hit-or-miss. They definitely upgraded the building. Previously Atlanta Bread Co, it used to sound like a gymnasium inside and was nearly intolerable. Now, it’s casual diner dining with a distinct lean toward Mediterranean food and breakfast food. The desserts are probably the high point. Cheesecake, Red Velvet Cake, and a very pretty dessert case by the front door. The service has been good each time I’ve been there. Wifey was unimpressed with the steak gyro.

The atmosphere and menu look nice however the food is not all its cracked up to be. I ordered a turkey Panini which was pretty dry and grilled far from perfection. My friend ordered the Ruebon which had little to no dressing and was soggy. One thing I do not like is that they claim that they make their desserts there which is a complete LIE. They order their cakes from a bakery in Greenville, the lady delivers the cakes and the staff unloads them in the back entrance. The managers are extremely rude to the staff and sit on their ass all day and text. I do not like how this place runs business and I will not be going back!

Beautiful atmosphere with friendly and efficient service. Food was excellent with generous portions and reasonably priced. Chef salad was huge and presented in a bowl you could actually mix your salad and dressing in without sharing it with the table. Bleu Deluxe was excellent as was the Philly Steak. I highly recommend and will return to sample more of the menu.

had lunch there once. I had the bleu burger, hubby had the Monte cristo. sandwiches were good, fries seemed frozen, not fresh. Breakfast however in my opinion was awful and overpriced. I had an omelet with mushrooms and onion. mushrooms were definitely canned. home fries were frozen not fresh. Husband says ham tasted like bologna. I’m all for local vs franchise, but this was a disappointment in my opinion.

If you like your potato salad from a plastic tub, this is your place. The good was almost mediocre, but lacked a few things. I had the Reuben but they left off the dressing. The bread wasn’t grilled or toasted, so it was extra soggy. My cole slaw was sour so they replaced it with some fries. The waitress was hopeful they would take something off my bill. It didn’t happen. The manager argued with me about the slaw. Wow.

This place is BAD. We had great hope for this restaurant as Johnson City badly needs high quality non-chain restaurants. Unfortunately the food at this restaurant borders on being indelible. Of our group of five, only one of us considered the food fine. The others all indicated that the food all seemed to have been reheated food that was of poor quality to start with. My French Toast(how do you mess up French Toast?) was cold, tough, flavorless, and was served with very poor quality syrup. For whatever reason a few sautéed diced onions made it onto the toast as well. The grits were cold instant grits. The reheated biscuits lacked flavor. We had high hopes but won’t ever go back.

My second time here. Great menu selection, atmosphere and service. Lots of food for the money. Open faced meatloaf, chicken breast florentine and chicken pesto panini all very good. Save room for desert. We had the nutella cake.
