I came to this location while passing through town. I was not very impressed with the interior of the building because it looked pretty outdated. Nevertheless, I thought I’d try it since a family member who reside in the area kept raving about how great it is. Our waitress showed us to our seat and took our order for drinks. We decided to do the buffet since it seems to be the best deal with getting more bang for your buck. The day I visited was the day after Christmas, so there weren’t a lot of people, and staff size seemed limited. We got our food and the waitress returned with our drinks. We sat down and ate our breakfast. A little while later, another family member decided to join us. Our waitress wasn’t in sight, so we weren’t able to request for additional silverware or drink. However, there was another waitress who stood at a table adjacent to ours having a conversation with a guest. I’m guessing they knew each other very well from their tone, posture, and conversation they were having. My mother turned to the waitress and said, «excuse me.» The waitress ignored her. She said it again, and this time, she looked up, stared right at all of us, and rolled her eyes, and kept talking. We were all in shock. Of course, the last thing you’d want is someone like that to take care of your table, so I got up and went to the front desk to informed the girl there that I have an additional guest at our table and our waitress was not available. I also asked if she could please provide extra silverware. She said yes, and moments later, our waitress returned to assist us. Overall the food was okay and the price was very reasonable. However, staff may need additional training in etiquette, customer service, and respect. I certainly will not be returning to this restaurant, nor do I recommend it. Do yourself and your guests a favor and go to IHOP or Chic-Fil-A where you’d definitely get far better service and food.

Came in at 11am. No breakfast food on the buffet, and a line wrapped nearly around the inside of the building of people waiting for food. Two at our table ordered off the menu — one order took 35 minutes, one took 45 and was denied when it arrived. On top of that, the place looks awful inside. Just don’t go here. Seriously.

I was sat at an unclean booth. There was sticky spot on the table and the booth was littered with food on both sides where you would sit. My girlfriend and I ended up walking out even though the breakfast buffet bar looked good.

Although I’ve eaten at Shoney’s for as long as I can remember, I’ve only ever had the breakfast bar. I have a love/hate relationship with buffets. I love the variety but hate my lack of self control also the quality is usually a little«less». Breakfast is my favorite meal and Shoneys has everything I adore. I’m always greeted at door and seated immediately. On weekends, they offer a courtesy JC Press. The breakfast bar is pretty standard. They offer pastries, muffins, fresh fruit, sausages, ham, eggs, gravy, grits, breakfast steak, a few different potatoes, etc. You can also request pancakes and fried eggs from the kitchen. I would love to see waffles and can’t understand why they don’t offer them. Oh well. The staff is super friendly and quick with drink refills. No complaints.

Stick with the diner/fast food fare & the breakfast bar and you will never be disappointed. My favorite things to eat at Shoney’s are the hamburgers(with fries), the chicken fried steak(or do they call it country fried steak?), and the breakfast bar. The hamburgers are unpretentious, basic, honest, meaty burgers. The fries are also unembellished and basic but hot, fresh, and good. The country fried steak comes out hot and fresh with a crispy crust, served with your choice of brown or white gravy(or none at all). It is also very well seasoned. Shoney’s also knows how to make scrambled eggs that are fully-cooked but also still very soft & moist, so kudos there too. They are also now serving Coke instead of Pepsi products which wins points in my book. I will warn you against anything that is not homestyle, country style, or is otherwise outside of the diner comfort zone. My mom had an Asian-style rice dish one time that was terrible. Spaghetti is overcooked and bland. Just stick with the good old basics, and you’ll be fine.
