Usually go to Osaka II but was on this side of town and Miyabi didn’t disappoint for this vegetarian. We got hibachi vegetable and veggie sushi roll(not in menu but readily offered). Great service.

Tobiko closed. Not as good. Okay, but Jared is correct… not really worthy it.

Went to this location and was scared off by the outside and the fact that the name changed and the reviews were old. Save yourself and visit Miso Teriyaki across the street.

Super food and great atmosphere. Wait staff are friendly and prices are unbelievably cheap. Sushi is above avg. Three maki rolls for 10 dollars. Teriyaki beef is above avg as well. Probably the best japanese restaurant for the money in Johnson City.

Before I ate here, I had reasoned away that I would ever find the same quality of Japanese food in Johnson City that I could located in North Texas. Since we discovered Tobiko’s for ourselves, we have become regulars to the point that the staff recognizes us upon arrival. It’s that good, and we look forward to our frequent trips. Our personal favorites are the 5 Sushi Bento Box, the Spicy Tuna Roll, and the Johnson Dream Roll. The box alone is well prepared and more than enough food for one, and it is very tempting to get it every time. However, the rolls are worth exploring, and we’ve found several more that we like. Be warned: the sizes are fairly generous, and well-proportioned to the amount of money you’ll spend. The service tends to be very quick from our experiences, and though the staff does seem to strain a bit with the local language, they do their best to insure they are efficient and friendly. Out of countless trips I don’t believe they’ve gotten our order wrong once(though we don’t usually order anything complex). If you’re in Johnson City or just passing through, I highly recommend taking the time to try out Tobiko’s.
