What can be said about a chain run movie theater? You get what you expect from this movie house. 12 screens with your average size theater, comfortable seats(watched a three hour movie with no compliance). The concessions are over priced but which chain isn’t.

This used to be a great theatre before AMC took it over. Right now: it’s awful. We walked in and were greeted by: no one. No staff running the counter, no one selling tickets. We stood around wondering if we should just walk in for a few minutes, then someone appeared across the way in the concession stand. Clearly he did not feel it was his job to deal with customers who wanted tickets, so he just stood back there, watching us in the otherwise empty building. Finally someone came out to sell us tickets. We made our way to the not-my-job-to-help-you concession worker, who managed to be both rude and apathetic in having to deal with us wanting to buy popcorn. The movie itself was great, but showing an enjoyable movie is not unique. Other theatres do that, and thank god, because we can go to them instead. When we exited our movie, the place was still a ghost town. We bought the popcorn with free refills, and were hoping to top it off to help justify the outrageous pricing, but surprise surprise, no one was at the concession stand. In fact, despite being not even 9:00 and with movies still showing, it was completely shut down. We waited another 8 – 9 minutes, calling into the back room area, and searching around for someone who worked there. We split up to look for someone in the theaters that weren’t currently showing. Finally, nearing the 20 minute mark, we found our favorite couldn’t-care-less concession worker on the other end of the building. He said he just cleaned up and that free-refill size we paid extra for wasn’t going to be getting any refills. His rude demeanor and obvious poor customer service skills were just… unbelievable for someone apparently employed there. This establishment could benefit greatly from having staff at least give the appearance of doing their job, let alone helping customers. Of course, we won’t be one of them anymore. Ive come to expect this from the Johnson Creek AMC after having experienced this on multiple previous occasions. This was just the last time. We wont be back.

Stopped by with the kids to play in the arcade, manager wouldn’t let us use the arcade without movie tickets. Not much to do in Johnson creek while wife is shopping, thought arcade would keep the kids busy.
