Ocean State Vapes

So I only gave 1 star for many reasons. I used to go here and everyone was amazing, awesome, helpful and friendly. However I have stopped going here because they definitely price gouge. They have the crown tank for 53 bucks, that’s crazy. Every other shop has it for less than 40 and you can get it online for around 30. Not to mention the fact that they over charge for everything, their customer service has went so down hill. I don’t feel welcome in this shop any more, it’s very uncomfortable walking in here. The kid seems like he can’t be bothered to answer any questions and is kind of rude and stand offish. When I went in he had an attitude and thought maybe he had a bad day so I gave them a 2^nd chance, went in again and it was the same song and dance. That’s the last time I went in. The vape game is growing and there’s a lot more shops with staff willing to go out of there way to help, my business will be with those other shops!

Very helpful and friendly. They let me test drive a couple of mods, which is pretty unusual for a vape shop anywhere. The staff is friendly, the place is not cramped, and the shoppers were having a good time. Selection was good also.
Why not 5 stars? Prices were quite a bit higher here than what I’ve seen at other shops in the area, at least for hardware and accessories like coils and drip tips.
I really wanted to buy a tank and mod there, but it would have cost me about $ 70 more to do so.
Unfortunately for them, they gave me a good education and pleasant experience, but I will have to use what I’ve learned someplace else.
I will be back for juice and small things, but they will need to become competitive on the big ticket items for me to consider them.

Let me just say that I was a very loyal customer of Ocean State Vapes, in fact I was one of the first to walk through the doors when they opened. I have spent thousands of dollars in the store buying juices and electronics, from my very first spinner evod style rig all the way through my current setup, a sub-​ohm tank and high wattage adjustable mod. At the beginning, it was great and I felt almost like family. As the time wore on, after several issues with the products sold there, it was less and less so. Most recently, my girlfriend bought me a very expensive electronic mod for my birthday. After about three weeks of loving it, its fire button broke internally and it stopped working. I brought it in, and they very reluctantly swapped it out for a display model. I didn’t mind the display, but after less than two weeks, same exact problem. I brought it back in again and was told that because they had already given me a «new» one, they couldn’t help me. So for the 100 $ price tag, after five weeks, the rig is trash and I’m out the money. This is after my last rig was fried by the battery they sold me, which they said would be perfect, which way overpowered the circuits in the mod, and killed it. They also would not swap the broken rig out. Time and time again, they have proven to not know the ins and outs of the products they sell, and customer service is gone. I will no longer spend one dime of my money in this place, I will only buy at businesses that stand behind the products that they sell. My advice is, if you haven’t been here, stay away, there are many other options to spend your hard earned money, several of which are within a five minute drive of this money pit. They have a large selection of products and flavors, everything was organized easily. I like that they have a book with the flavors and numbers to find the sample you want to try, It’s a lot easier than trying every flavor.
There was a lot of space to move around and was a nice hang out spot. They do need to work on customer service a little bit. I was waiting a while before anyone even said hello.
The parking is very limited.
At first I liked this place, until I started using their product. I normally only use one coil a week and since using their liquids, I’ve gone through 3 in one week.

Most friendly, helpful, affordable vape shop in RI. Rebecca is very knowledgable and she helped me quite the cigarettes! There is also a great lounge to hang out and learn more about vaping. There are tons of flavors to chose from and a sample bar.

LOVE THIS PLACE!!! I’ve met some people recently whom have all successfully quit smoking cigarettes by vaping so I figured I’d give it a try. To be honest, I was expecting to buy some lame kit that would get me started and then pushed out the door moments later… totally not the case at all!!!
We were the only customers but the employee said it had been busy all day (a good sign). I told her I was new to the concept and wanted to quit smoking; the first thing she did was congratulate me on making that choice. How cool!!! They have a flavor bar area that let’s you sample all the flavors they offer which is where my journey began. I chose Watermelon Freeze and the employee immediately knew I was a menthol smoker and helped guide me in making selections best for menthol flavors.
There were tons of choices as far as size, color, design, adjustment levels, etc. and she never pushed anything on me; she let me decide on what would suit me best. She went over EVERYTHING (filling the tank, changing the wick, charging, nicotine levels) which was really awesome because I thought I was going to be really lost in all this. I asked the same question about 5 times and she didn’t get mad at all; she wanted to be sure I was totally knowledgeable AND comfortable using my new vape.
I’m definitely going back here! The atmosphere inside the shop was great: clean and professional but with a fun, laid back vibe… they even have a few chairs to chill and hang out in. The staff seem to sincerely care and show that they want to help their customers in any way possible. Great place!

Great find! Very helpful and knowledgable. Great selection of flavors and you can try them All. Staff is super friendly and I felt very comfortable asking questions. Nice to find nearby, will be back!

I stumbled upon this little shop yesterday. Great ladies that are running it, super helpful, great prices, huge selection. I started using my new vape pen right away. I only smoked 8 cigarettes total today. Hoping tomorrow will be even better. I am on my way to being a non smoker, what about you?
