1.0 star, and that’s a gift. In the first 5 minutes of room occupancy, we found:(1) a non-functioning AC fan(it was August, so you can imagine the stifling quality of the room)(2) the bathroom door wouldn’t remain closed, so you had no privacy there(3) ripped sheets on one of the beds(4) the drain on the bathroom sink was stuck in the closed position, forcing you to pry it open to allow the sink to drain,(5) the flush handle on the toilet will remain in the«on» position causing the water to run continually unless you think to push it back up. Way to go, Priceline… you really got us a winner here.

To start off the stay I was relieved to see you had to sign a document that no kids are allowed in the hot tub. Well, that night I went to the hot tub and turned around to go back to my room… the hot tub was filled with screaming kids. After spending extra money for the Wayerpark I never used i went back to my room. House keeping came in and serviced my room ever though I had the«do not disturb» sign on. When I confronted the staff they just smiled and said they knocked first. Worst of all, later that night I noticed they had taken my shower curtain!!! I called the front desk and they insisted they do not have shower curtains. After convincing them that it was there this morning and it wasn’t now, they brought one up. Never a «sorry» once. Horrible!!! Never had this kind of disrespect at a hotel, I felt like I was in the twilight zone.

The hostess was trying too hard to accommodate although she was nice. She was obviously interested in participating in the locals antics and then would come back to acting like she cared. The Ribeye was grossly horrid. Not only no flavor, undercooked and cold, it was brutally full of tough fat and disgusting. One bite and I was absolutely done. That’s too bad too. I would NOT recommend this place, period.

This hotel under went a major remodel in 2010 following the Iowa floods. It is now clean and modern and has a fantastic indoor water park to boot! The room and common areas are clean and comfortable. The water park has something for all ages toddler to teenager. The staff was friendly and the price was about average — $ 125 for a weeknight but that included four water park passes. My only complaint is that the attached restaurant ‘Castaway’s’ was over priced and not very good.

This place was a dump. Plain and simple. It was a relief getting here after driving in some of the worst rain I’ve driven in for nearly six hours straight. I was too tired to look elsewhere or complain so I’ll do so now. The ceiling was covered in dust from the vent, the bathroom was moldy and rusted in places. The floor looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed in years and the«secure» door that we had to slide our card into to get into the hotel could be easily just yanked open as it didn’t close all of the way. We were also given a room facing an indoor pool. Who wants their view to be a room outside of the one you’re in? Weird. Add to that the fact that we were told to hurry up and leave by the cleaning staff at 10:15 when checkout wasn’t until 11:00 and you have a hotel that I’ll never be going back to and I hope you do the same.
