Johnnies Villa Pizza

Still not as good as the original Eagle’s in New Albany, but this is still far and away the best pizza in Johnstown — bar none. Be warned: there’s no place to sit. If you’re not looking for take out or delivery, head on over to Creno’s. Otherwise, you’ve found the right place!

This is a go to spot in Johnstown due solely to the BBQ Chicken Bacon pizza. It is so good and always tastes fresh. They recently added the ability to take credit cards so that was very nice as getting cash seems like such a hassle anymore in this day and age. We have tried some subs, garlic bread with cheese, and their cakes and they are very good as well. Sometimes the staff can be a little short but overall this is the best pizza place in Johnstown by a head.

Villa pizza is the best pizza in Johnstown. It’s an institution! My family has eaten villa pizza for over 17 years. They’ve never messed up an order, the staff is always kind, and the pizza is delicious.
The crust is crispy thin, with just enough grease to make it taste sinfully good. The subs are just as good. Double sub, no tomato please! It may be nostalgia, but every time I come back to J-​town, I can’t leave again without eating Villa.

Villa is the best pizza around. The service is always wonderful. I have never had them mess up a pizza, and we eat villa about once a week. It’s my favorite food, honestly.

Small town pizza joint done the right way! Have lived in Johnstown for a little over two months and have had nothing but great pizza. I get the «All The Way» with no mushrooms and love it. Always ready in under 15 minutes and presented by a very friendly staff.

I want to like this place. It’s a hometown favorite for most. When I do get a sub from there that is made correctly, it tastes good. But 4 out of the last 5 times it has been COMPLETELY wrong. And 3 out of those 4 times the staff was rude about it. :shrugs: How hard is an Italian sub with no veggies & extra dressing?

Best pizza around hands down. I make a point of trying out everyone’s pizza where ever I travel and this is in my top 5.
Staff is always friendly which is a plus.
Only thing lacking is a dining room… okay and beer sales.
I had to move to J-​Town just to be closer to it. Johnnies rocks!

Best pizza in town! But remember to hit the ATM as they only take cash. Baked spaghetti and subs are great, but get what you came for: pizza!
Bring the leftovers in your lunch the next day and make everyone jealous ;)

Alright — I confess. I grew up on this pizza.
Yes this pizza is the reason why I should either be wearing stretch pants or working out very hard everyday. I have decided to hedge my bet and wear stretchy pants and work out but anyway about the place.
There is no dining in. There is no delviery –just carry out.
The place is about the pizza. The pizza is a cracker crust. This means that the crust is cripsy and there are air pockets. It adds to the uniqueness as compared to a Donatos and a Pizza Hut.
The Pizzas I recommend. I love the basic Pepperoni and or Pep and Sausage. The pizza can get soggy if you add too many greasy meats but I still believe it is a great pizza.
The other pizza they do that is very unique and tasty is the Taco Pizza. The pizza is a taco meat and cheese pizza topped with shredded lettuce and tomatoe served with sides of sour cream and salsa.
It is very very yummy.
Cost: A large 2 topping pizza will run you about $ 13.
Side Note — Baked subs are good and offer an alternative.
Speed — They churn out these pies pretty fast. 15 — 20 mins usually. Once you order — you might as well get in your car and go get it :-)
If you are in Johnstown or the New Albany (sister restaurant) then give it a try. As many of my neighbors and childhood friends will attest (heck — go there on a Friday Night during Fall /​Winter) — you will experience how well Villa Pizza is loved.

I really wanted to like this pizza, being new to Johnstown. I am a pizza fanatic. Unfortunately, I won’t be ordering from here again. The crust was too thin and tough and the sauce and cheese were not plenty (we ordered cheese pizza). It seems like that’s just the way the pizza is made. I didn’t like it and my wife was not impressed either. It wasn’t worth the cost.
Hopefully we’ll get another independent pizza place in Johnstown soon.

Pretty decent pizza for a small town joint. Pizza has a cracker thin crust and flavorful sauce. It’s owned by same family that owns Eagles pizza in New Albany so it’s basically the same pizza.
It was spectacular, but I did enjoy it and would eat it again if in the area.
