Stopped on a weekday for a late breakfast. The place is just okay. Didn’t receive poor service, food was meh, environment was kinda cramped. Half of the food on my plate was reheated in the microwave, and the other half was kinda bland. Probably won’t return, would rather drive somewhere else for the price.

Very friendly staff. Decent breakfast food. Simple. Limited menu options. If I ever come back to this town I’ll go here for breakfast again.

The food is not the best I’ve ever had but the atmosphere more than makes up for it. It’s truly that small town diner that is long gone in most cities. The waitress is very friendly and even remembers my husband and grandson when they stop in. He often walks him here for a special lunch or after his haircut and he loves it here too.

We love this place. The food is good, costs very little, and the waitress(yes, there is usually only one, and she’s BUSY!) is very friendly. This is a very small town place. Seating is somewhat limited, though they do well for the space that they have, and sometimes you can’t get a table. But it’s for good reason! I enjoy their hashbrowns. I don’t know why, but they’re just good. They’re nice and crisp and buttery. My kids love their pancakes. The only downside… And I know this sounds petty to some, but they are always playing Fox News on the tv. Which drives me up a wall. It’s their business, they can express their opinions if they like, but I wish they’d turn on something a little more enjoyable to a general crowd.

I took my kids here on a Saturday morning. Staff was friendly quick and most of all the good was very good.

You can’t complain about the food. We stopped for breakfast on the way through town and the quality and quantity were WONDERFUL. You can’t complain about the server, she was just as WONDERFUL. You CAN complain about the speed. It took half an hour to get our meals. In a normal sit down restaurant, that’s fine. In a diner, it’s for-ev-er. If the speed would have been there, I would have given it 5 stars. If you’re not in a hurry, Main Street Café is highly recommended.

My husband and I were looking for something different for our lunch date. We decided on Main St Café. When we first walk in, we were unsure if we had to wait to be seated or find our own seat. Once we found a comfy booth by the tv. we nestled in. Our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. My husband ordered the beef gyro and I ordered the Super Ruben. Food was excellent! Would like to visit during breakfast time.

Great local family owned and run diner. Your typical greasy spoon affair w daily specials. Overall, some good food w good service but can get lengthy when busy.

As a new resident of Johnstown, I’ve made this my go-to lunch spot. Great people, great service, and great food.

The Main St Café is an old school diner so if you looking for a hearty breakfast, a good hamburger, some homemade soup, daily special or a great club sandwich stop in. The owners are always there and are very nice people that will treat you good

I just moved to the neighborhood and we found a great diner to enjoy lunch at! I took my parents here and had a small-town feel without being exclusive to newcomers. The staff was very friendly and we had great service from our waitress. I ordered an omelette, my mom had the pancake stack(I ate one of them!), and I can’t remember what my dad had. We all enjoyed it though! The price was very reasonable too! I could see my wife and I going here on weekend mornings for breakfast or lunch. Not sure what their hours are, but maybe we’ll even check it out for dinner!
