Sheetz is popping up on every corner!!! I have noticed everything has gone up in price food wise and the portions have gotten smaller! I use to be an avid sheetz goer but the portions are tiny and the fact that you have to pay for EVERY extra thing you get is ridiculous! You can never go wrong with sheetz not being clean. Every time I do go in there it’s pretty clean for a gas station/convenient store. Gas, I usually don’t buy gas here for my car, but I will occasionally for my wife’s car when she is real low just bc I save 3cents a gallon with using my sheetz card… All in all its a decent place to go but the prices have skyrocketed! It use to be cheap to eat there but that’s not the case anymore. These reasons make me give it a 2⁄5

I find it interesting that when Sheetz wants to grow, they just move everything. That’s the story with this one, instead of attempting a remodel at the one that is literally a half block from here, they just bought some new land and built a brand new one. Unlike with other companies, this isn’t such a bad thing. Old Sheetz stores don’t sit empty for too long, they are reused quite regularly. That aside, I believe that there may be more pumps at this location, and they are easier to access. The new location is roomier and no need to worry about how long it may take to get fuel, order a MTO, and buy some refreshments. This one is set up like a majority of the new stores they have rolled out. Refreshment coolers, coffee station, soda den(that desperately needs to be a beer cave(come on Pennsylvania, step into the 21st century already)). But the most baffling thing about this place is the registers. It is true that they are experimenting with self checkouts here, but that’s when it gets a little wonky. I went and grabbed a few things and stood in line on purpose. I did not, or maybe could not, use the self checkouts due to the fact that I needed cigarettes. As with any other place that sells cigarettes, these are located behind the register; thus the reason why I was standing in line. In walks super employee instructing everyone that is in line to use the self checkouts. Wouldn’t you think that if us people in line wanted to use those registers we already would have. So, begrudgingly the line starts shifting to the self checkouts. This is the part I did not like, don’t insult me. I know how to use the register by myself. Not only did I survive the retail world for five years, I’m not an idiot. And the most irritating part was when I said I needed the cigarettes I was standing in line for. Not only was I not allowed to handle them, super employee had to scan them himself. Remember why I was standing in the line?

Lots of options and fast service. They have made-to-order food. Rather than telling a person what you want they have kiosks where you touch the picture of what you want on a touch screen. The choices are pretty extensive considering that technically this is gas station food. You can get egg whites on your sandwich(from a real egg) and they have soy as an option for coffee drinks. The rest of the store has an equally impressive availability of options including those Think Thin protein bars which, in my opinion, are some of the best choices for that sort of snack from a healthy perspective.
