I am not sure about the other person’s issues, as I did not have that same level of encounter with the two service technicians who were at my house yesterday. They were on time(yeah) they were prepared(double yeah) they explained what was wrong with the oven and what it would cost to repair same.(I was surprised) Rather than just fix it a little to «get by»(by using a temporary fix) they are actually fixing the problem so that we don’t have to call them back soon to re-fix the issue. They came highly recommended and I concur that they are a top notch company, offering top notch service.

I have a NICOR warranty on all my kitchen appliances and my oven was not heating properly and my was was VERY loud. I called NICOR and they have Gordon’s Appliance as an authorized repair company. Upon the service man, Jim, entering my home, he told my husband the washer wasn’t worth fixing. We had just purchase in 2010, Maytag front load washer with pedestal, $ 1300. He never looked in it, never turned it on. just condemned my machine. Now on to my double oven? ! He looked at it and said«you have bad luck with appliances, you know that is all it is with appliances, brand doesn’t matter» WOW, after several minutes of talking, he ordered the probes for the upper oven, said«you don’t need the clock to work for it to heat up» WOW So, he ordered the probes, Margaret called me to schedule the appointment to put the parts in, within 6 hours, they called and cancelled with me. Referred back to NICOR? Awful service!
