Jagged Edge Salon

If I could give this salon 10 stars I would! The salon I used to go to moved, and the new location is just too far of a drive for me. I actually chose this salon because of the reviews I read here, and I’m SO glad I did! I was changing my hair big time (it was down to the middle of my back, dead at least to my shoulders and I wanted to get it to blonde from the red it was *unnatural manic panic blood red*, and I knew how hard it was going to be to try and lift that color out without my hair turning completely orange) and I needed someone that would listen to what I wanted and do it RIGHT. Melissa is that person! I called on Thursday and spoke to Melissa, telling her all of this, and she made me an appointment for that Saturday afternoon and cleared her schedule for the rest of that day.
I could not be more happy with the way my hair turned out! She did her best to lift out the red, and she ended up bleaching out as much as she could, and in the end we decided to leave what was bleached and have light pink streaks throughout the rest of my hair, it turned out kinda like a reverse ombré, and I LOVE it! I showed her a picture of how I wanted it cut, and she did it BETTER! I wanted it very short in the back, longer strands on the sides and cute side bangs in the front. Most salons boast that they are up to date on the latest cuts and styles when they definitely are not, all they know are layers and straight edges. Melissa understood exactly what I wanted, and the fact that certain cuts are SUPPOSED to be uneven, whether it be the back, sides, bangs etc.
Now that I have found Jagged Edge, I will not go anywhere else, and will recommend this salon to everyone that I know! On top of all that, the service was excellent as well, offering coffee, listening to everything and any concerns etc… Just over all a completely amazing experience!

Best salon in the Plainfield/​Joliet area! My usual hairstylist resigned and at the last minute the owner, Melissa, made me an appt with her. I was SO happy with my haircut! Melissa is a fantastic stylist! I don’t think I’ve ever gotten so many compliments on my hair. They deserve 10 stars!

I have the pleasure of working right next to the ladies of Jagged Edge. I stop in for clip about once every two weeks and I’m always pleased. Very personable and easy to talk to! Very affordable as well! Give them a try and you’ll not regret it!

First time at Jagged Edge Salon was a great experience. I requested Meghan because I read some good reviews here about her. She did a great job with my trim and touch up and highlights and always told me what she was doing, what she was using, and Meghan was FAST. I have a hard time being in one place for a long time so this was a big plus for me. She did exactly what I wanted and made me look 10 times better leaving than I did coming in. And now I have conditioner that makes my hair smell like a cupcake. Can’t beat that!
The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because they are closed on Mondays which would be the best day for me to come. I did make another appt with Meghan. Thank you!

As long as I get Meghan, I am happy. The other girl didn’t listen to me very well. I have been going here for years though, as it’s really hard to find a good place! I always recommend Jagged Edge to all my friends.

Bought a groupon to try out this place. Bad from the second I walked in, dirty old couches that you wait and sit on. Now lets talk about the service, I explained about the color I wanted and it was two colors. One of them was okay but the other was not even close to what I asked for. The other color was not washed out properly and I still had dried up color on the back of my neck. The trim was okay, they overcharged me on the color that was not included in my groupon. I will never go back and regret ever getting this groupon. If they want to get new clients they they should intice them not over charge them.

Got the living social deal and was able to book an appointment the same week. Melissa did my hair and she did an amazing job. She listened to exactly what I wanted and was able to suggest things that would compliment my skin tone and face shape. I went a coppery red and she did an amazing job not making me orange. She was super personable, friendly, and easy going. She took her time and didn’t make me feel rushed. My hair cut ended up awesome as well, she’s a perfectionist so you won’t be disappointed with her work.

First off the personnel was absolutely wonderful and professional. Meghan did an awesome job highlighting my hair. She was very attentive during my consultation she listened and the results were exactly what I had in mind. The salon esthetic was well organized and inviting. I purchased a deal from living social for cut, color/​partial color, and style for $ 50. I would be willing to pay full price for the treatment and skill level I experienced. I also purchased the products she used on my hair Eufora, all natural products.

I was having major hair issues. My hair was limp, dry, and shapeless. It took great effort for me to comb it after getting out of the shower each morning. The tangled mess had turned into me losing clumps of hair each day. I never had this problem and my friend referred me to this salon and her stylist, Meghan. Boy, am I glad I went.
Meghan is wonderful!!! She listened to the problems I was having, made recommendations, and taught me how to care for my hair. She revived me. She gave me a conditioning treatment that worked wonders and was only $ 20. She also highlighted my hair in a unique way to make it look fuller, taught me how to style my hair and what tools to use, and used such a unique way of creating hidden layers. My hair is now shiny, full, and healthy. I am not losing hair anymore and it is thanks to her. She is great at what she does and I really appreciated how when she was styling my hair she talked to me and TAUGHT me what to do to create more volume and shine.
I would highly recommend this hidden treasure. The salon is adorable and the staff are wonderful.
