Stayed here on Saturday night as a walk-in with my teenage daughter after a VERY long day at Show Choir competition. The night before, I’d stayed at the Harrahs Resort & Casino, and was very pleased with both the size(HUGE!) of my room and the cleanliness. Sadly, that was not the case at the Lexington. We were VERY unhappy with the accommodations. Our room was NOT clean(stained bathtub, cob webs hanging from the ceiling, stains on the carpet, and a funky smell). This is a hotel in horrible need of updating(and, as such, is ridiculously overpriced). I paid $ 140 for my room at Harrahs — which was probably twice the size. The rooms at the Lexington should be in the $ 60 range — NOT over $ 100. To add insult to injury, when I brought up the condition of our room in the morning upon leaving, the desk staff stared at me like deer in the headlights. They didn’t even bother trying to apologize.

I would never go back to this hotel. The messed up our reservation(even thought I called in a week ahead to confirm) and it was’t fixed until the last day we were there. The hotel is very outdated and the rooms are dirty. Towels were awful(dirty and very rough). Breakfast was disgusting– even the ice in the vending machine was dirty! The hotel is non smoking, but you can smell cigaretes everywhere. My room was next to housekeeping room and I could tell the smell was coming from that room. I also could hear other people complaining about this hotel.

Last week, my family from all over the country gathered last-minute at the Lexington for my grandmother’s funeral. They accommodated us in rooms near each other, even letting us use a spare room for all of «the kids» to hang out when the old folks went to bed. The pool, though small, was enjoyed by both the little ones and the adults — it was very nice to have 10pm — midnight available for just adults. The rooms were pretty clean — nothing fancy. The breakfast«buffet» was a little sad… I don’t think they were prepared for the swarm of hungry family members that descended upon the lobby three mornings in a row. The absolute best part of the Lexington, and what bumps this review up to 4(practically 5) was Tommy at the front desk. He was incredibly sincere to our entire family from the moment each of us arrived. He called to check in on us and even shared that we were in his prayers the day of the funeral. Give this guy a raise! A promotion! He is an absolute sweetheart and we appreciated everything he did for us. Overall, I think this is a very family-friendly hotel and as long as Tommy’s at the helm, you’re in good hands!
