I hate to give my old hole in the wall such a low rating, but it is what it is. I happened in upon a weekend night in the spring and Otto was beyond cantankerous. His and Tommy’s(the owner) presence used to make this place feel like somewhere I wanted to be, but now they made me never want to visit again. Nor will I. Stop trying to be someone’s angry grandpa, and get back to being the place you were 15 years ago. Overall, there are more welcoming hole in the walls.

O’Charley’s used to be a great joint. Over the years it has turned into a sh#thole. The owner Tommy Charley is a real piece of work. He refuses to turn the air conditioning on so its always uncomfortably hot inside. Plus if you like roaches with your popcorn and crummy frozen pizza then this is the place for you. The the bathrooms are atrocious, the men’s urinal over flows on a regular basis. Yea filth! The clientele are a bunch of desperate drunks during the days/afternoons and then USF kids at night. The only good thing going for O’Charley’s are some of the staff. Also the ghetto residents that live right next door love to damage your car so you got that to look forward to. There are plenty of better dives in J town that are better than this joint.

One of my new favorite«dive» Irish bars! What a FUN place but HOT as hell inside! Went here on a Saturday night because we heard $ 3.50 mixed drinks and $ 10.00 wrist band deal for all you can drink tap beer. Now I know why it has a mostly early 20’s following. Not a bad thing now just saying when I was in my 20’s I hung at the bars I could afford too. SOLD. So driving there I was thinking hmmm where the heck is this place located because we went through some«shady» areas. They have their own lot which was perfect so we would not have to walk the streets after wards. We got the last spot! As we walked up toward the front door of the bar I thought well this place actually looks pretty darn cool. We walked in and like I said at the start it was HOTTERTHENHELL in there. Felt like the heat was on high which made me feel ill. I HATE being hot. PLEASE get air conditioning(crank it UP) or MANY more fans! Thank God for the nice outside area in back. Bags in back which we played. I suck at that game! LOL. Plenty of extra tables too. It felt good to sit outside with some drinks and a few friends. SMALL bathrooms. One toilet so be ready to wait in line ladies! Please don’t go in with your friend and talk on your phone etc. Go outside please! Thanks!!! :) The only other negative(besides the heat) thing I can say is to hire a 3rd bartender on those crazy Saturday nights. You have to wait a bit and grab the attention of one to get your drinks. Nice staff but they just need another bartender back there. I would say I would go back again even though it is a drive for me. Keep rocking those tunes and having those awesome drink deals! :) CHEERS!

New reigning top dive bar. We wound up here after my wedding, where we found they had karaōke until 3am and all you can drink for $ 10. Sold!

I got to give this bar a good rating just for their courage to have a bar in this gettho of Joliet. The neighborhood is scary but this place gives those few St francis students with courage to go out at night and old White Irish drunks a place to go. Small Irish bar and I was there recently on a warm night. I felt like I was at the South Side of Chicago and wondered how the patrons can feal comfortable having this bar with its doors wide open. they have a nice patio and good drink specials. A nice neighborhood bar in a not so nice neighborhood.
