We had dinner here a week ago and the food and service was very good. Again the filet pops were excellent and the entrees were also very good. The one thing that was missing was Maggie, our favorite server was no longer employed here. I don’t understand how they would let a long time employee go who had many ppl who asked for her. She was a favorite with so many. Not happy Harrahs.

We have been to the Reserve about 10 times our last time was December 20th and when I say last time it’s because we won’t go back. You must have to be a high roller to get the good service. People sat after us was serviced by our waitress they had a little girl with them. We ordered non alcohol drinks which were empty when she came back to take our order and remained empty. After the order was place we decided to try the soup but our waitress was too busy with her other table and avoided eye contact with us. We were finally able to order the soup when she visited to drop of the sorbet. I asked her for the soup and drink refills and mentioned we have been trying to get her attention and she said«I have been busy I have the whole casino». Food arrived cooked correctly but the waitress would know because drinks were empty again she was MIA again. I was able to get her attention for refills and she said the iced tea will be a little bit they dumped out the remaining tea already. We received our check paid with a chunk of comp points. As we were walking out the guest behind us were wished a goodnight by the hostess. Food was great service very poor…

Not sure where other«reviewers» were but not at The Reserve. Best strip steak for miles, always cooked perfect. Fantastic food and great service. Going again soon and can’t wait! My mouth waters just thinking about it. As for the person that has goon several times and has yet to have a good meal — why would continue to go back? Leave room for the rest of us.

«Not that „Fine Dining“» Have been to the Reserve several times and am consistently disappointed. My family & I have been in the hospitality industry for well over 50 years so we know what to expect in a fine dining restaurant. Unfortunately they never seem to get it right, the food is most always good but the service is where it is always lacking. The servers seem not to have been properly trained for fine dining service. Instead its always been plates passed from one person to the other, not have the proper utensils, not checking on the guests and much more. I don’t want to sound too nit-picky but when we go it is usually in celebration of a special event or for a holiday and as mentioned it has always been a disappointment

My first and last visit. We decided to eat dinner here as a treat prior to a show at the Rialto. I’ll admit my expectations were high based on the reviews and the prices. We were seated immediately, but I was a little disappointed with the noise level, as I would have liked to have conversation with my table mates. My friend and I both ordered mixed drinks which were average, our husbands both had house wines which were poor. Appetizer came promptly and the Bruschetta was very good. Unfortunately we then had to wait over an hour for the entrée, making us late for the show. The husbands both ordered boneless ribeyes, medium and medium rare, both came cooked rare, and burned on one end. The Brussels sprouts were bitter and unwashed, with visible grit. The filet tips I ordered were overly chewy, but the sauce and potatoes they were served with were very good. The waitstaff were pleasant but clearly frustrated that our entrées were taking so long. There was no visible managerial presence, and on a busy Friday night it would’ve been very helpful. A very disappointing meal especially considering the price.

Went to Reserve on a casino trip to Harrah’s. I recommend sticking to the gambling and passing on the food/cocktails. Got a martini up which had carbonation and a strange watered-down taste. Was told all liquor is dispensed from a gun which probably explains it. Had a side Caesar salad which was doused with way too much dressing which tasted more like thousand island than Caesar. The Steak Diane Pappardelle was OK, but for the price the portion was very small. I was thinking of getting the filet, but $ 55 for 12 oz seemed a bit high for a casino in Joliet. The one saving grace was the service — the waitress was very nice and attentive.

This place deserves a little more love here on Unilocal. While I wouldn’t come here from the city, this is a delicious place for dinner in Joliet. The ribeye I had with the garlic crust was excellent. Service was really good. I went to a fancy steak dinner in Vegas a week later and thought The Reserve was better. I’ll definitely come back

Been here 3 times already, always on Wednesday for some reason. Yes we get a $ 25 certificate, but let me tell you. EVERYTIME! SPOT on Delish. Consistently great Steak, Garlic Crusted, French Onion Soup, to die for. House salad, HUGE and delish, so many different greens. Hands down best steak in Joliet, gives Chicago a serious run for the money, and at half the price is a clear winner to me. French onion soup, never salty, perfect melted cheese, caramelized onions, great broth. Steak is perfect, medium every time. They also have Yummy yummy pretzel rolls and fresh butter. AND they give you sherbert as a palette cleanser before main course. Well done Harrahs!

WOW! Overpriced and Underserved. My wife ordered the petite filet. Most restaurants call something that small a medallion. At $ 30.00, a major disappointment! She also ordered the small lobster tail to go with the filet. It was a 7 oz tail split in half = 3.5 oz for $ 28.00! The food was mediocre at best. This place would never make it in Vegas, only in Joliet.

Ate here because we were staying at the hotel-casino. Good choice! Prime rib perfect. Chicken confit perfect. Portions enough to split. One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. Mature server did an excellent job. Ambiance pretty good. Pricy but top quality. The manager was attentive to everyone, but stayed at our table to talk about his time Iowa. Great overall experience

At 7 pm on a Friday, most restaurants are busy. It took 15 minutes for drinks to arrive and 30 minutes for the appetizer. Soup and salad about 30 minutes after that. It suffices to say, the main course did not arrive until well after 8:30. A second drink order never arrived. The steak, mushrooms and asparagus were good. And the cheesecake was excellent! A manager stopped by later and validated our comment about the slow service. He wasn’t making excuses, just providing an explanation. This restaurant needs additional wait staff and probably kitchen staff as well.
