Golden Corral

I’ve been coming to this location for years and this past Saturday was the worst experience I’ve had at ANY restaurant. As I’m cutting into my steak a roach crawls into my plate. I was so shock that I froze. After informing the manager and waiting on him to refund my money, another roach appears. He apologizes but then says «you know they come out every now and then». I’ve never felt so disgusted after eating. I will never go to that location again and may never eat at Golden Corral again.

One word: Roaches
Yep we were eating our food and content up until the point when we saw roaches crawling on the wall near our table. We asked for the manager and we told her but it seemed like she was more interested in asking questions about our hair, purses, and personal life. Bottom line is this place needs to be thoroughly inspected again.

Came here for dinner very disappointed the food use to be good back in 2006 man has it changed.
Came back for breakfast very bad thing for me to do… how do a restaurant screw up bacon and eggs. The service was just as horrible as the food. I shall never return

Went on Easter Sunday after church place was packed would not recommend this location it’s not family oriented at all at one point I thought we were at the strip club females walking in way under dressed letting it all hang out I said to myself really on Easter Sunday I contacted the manager on the matter and was told strippers have to eat too this from the manager wow ghetto I’m sad to say the section 8 filthy trash has moved from Atlanta to Clayton clearly

I have been to this location several times in the past (greedy I know lol) but the last time I went it smelled awful near the dessert bar and upon speaking to the lady behind the counter she informed that there was a little mold beneath the rug and that it was not a big deal. Since when did mold become «not a big deal». I won’t be going to this location again.

Ok so I took my kids here one day when we were in the area… WHY?!? I am a frequent visitor of the one in my area so I couldn’t understand the concept behind this one.
First thing first, they don’t have as big of a selection. I had to hunt down plates and silverware and the customer service sucks! These ppl acted like. Well let me just say they are in the wrong industry for the attitudes they have. The food wasn’t good and I didn’t enjoy anything about it. The layout is strange and should be changed. We won’t be going here again!

I like it here food is decent staff is friendly but you tin to go over board but other than that it’s nice.

Granted, when I lived here. I ate meat then & would only go here for breakfast every now & then. Went to lunch here with a friend of mine on 8÷23÷13. The non meat eater selection wasn’t that great. I got baked fish & fried shrimp, but I had to keep getting these repetitive selections. I couldn’t even get the cabbage because it had pork bits in it. :-(Our server was sub-​par & I only tipped her $ 2. And oh yeah, someone had a seizure in the next aisle from us as we were eating. Won’t be coming back here when I go home again.

I went here last week and it was alright. The selection was alright and it tasted fine but it wasn’t the best. I wasn’t too impressed with the selection. Even though it was a serve yourself restaurant our waitress was really friendly and attentive and made sure to stop by often to make sure we where happy.

The food is pretty good, they have several good items. The waiters could be more attentive to their customers by filling up glasses or taking away unused plates. For a dinner buffet with a drink it is $ 14.00

Let me start by saying that I LOVE Golden Coral! Love, Love LOVE! But this location sucks. I lived in the area at one point and would drive to another county instead of going to this location which was 7 – 10 minutes away.
Now it’s not as bad as the «Why are you still open RYANS» on Hwy 85, but it’s not far from that. They take their time bringing out hot food, the Mac N Cheese is usually dry (And ya’ll know I’m serious about my MacNCheese!) and they don’t keep a supply of certain cookies out (Yeah I’m talking about the Oatmeal cookies). Maybe they think we are going to eat them all but isn’t that the point! When you have to ask the manager if they are out of oatmeal cookies, chicken fingers or some not so damn dry Mac N Cheese at an all you can supposedly eat spot then you are in the wrong spot.
The waiters are usually nice. I actually only wrote this review because I saw it while I was looking for another place and figured I’d give you my opinion. This is a good spot for a first date that you think may not become a second date by the way. Cause you will probably never go back here or just brings those people that you aren’t sure about dating long term. LOL!

Golden Corral has changed alot!
No more getting your own plates when you first walk in you now have to go seek them. Food was okay, felt like it was rushed for the crowd. As always busy, loud but this location was funny. Soooo many people was yelling and screaming at their waiter like come on ppl. I love our waiter Candis she was so sweet!

I’ve been to Golden Corral many times over the years, and I nigh always gorge to the extent that I have to hobble out like a morbidly obese person. Seriously, almost every time I finish eating here, I sigh and declare in a state of self-​deprecating disgust, «UGH! I’m so fat. I hate myself.» LOL In addition, I facetiously ask friends to haul me out on a wheelbarrow. :)
Though you wouldn’t know it based on the way I stuff my face, the food quality has slightly declined over the years, as has the service. This slight decline could be ascribed to new management, an attempt to cut costs in a weak economy, and/​or to make the buffet experience even more efficient. Notwithstanding, it’s not a deal breaker, and it may simply be the business expanding and experimenting with their food offerings, because new items are added on a seemingly regular basis. And to be fair, only some of the items aren’t quite what they used to be, namely the pies, while other items are as tasty as they’ve always been. Regarding the service, clean plates used to be periodically brought to you by a server, but now you have to get your own plates & flatware from the buffet area. On the plus side, you never have to wait for a server to bring clean plates, but consequently, your server will make fewer stops at your table to remove used plates and refill your drinks. Despite my criticism, Golden Corral is still the best chain buffet in this region. If you’ve never been to one of their restaurants, you should mostly expect «southern comfort» food, a salad bar, and an array of desserts and baked goods. The busiest time is Sunday afternoon, but if you avoid the church crowd, you should be seated in a timely manner. Incidentally, Golden Corral has a corporate culture of being very friendly to our military, and so their restaurants are packed on holidays such as Memorial Day and Veteran’s Day because they generously allow veterans to dine for free.
Four or more years ago, I would have given 4 stars to this Golden Corral location. Perhaps due to an increased focus on efficiency and cutting costs, my review score dips to 3 stars. Nonetheless, the price is right, and you’ll certainly get more than your money’s worth if you eat like I do.
