Quick summary: — No legitimate/actual website — Can’t make appointments online or over the phone — Customer service when calling is lacking, they take out their long days on you… never understood that — Send you through a maze of people when trying to find a simple answer to your question

I have been coming to this KP location for a few months. All of the administrative staff are amazingly helpful and friendly. The nurses are excellent and explain things clearly. And my doctor, Dr. McCarty, is very thorough, knowledgeable and practical. I love coming to this facility. It is a far cry from the service I was receiving before in Altanta. I wish they had dental and vision offices as well.

This is by far the worst Kaiser facility I have ever been to in my entire life I’ve had Kaiser for over 15 years and been to 7 different facilities. Georgia has a lot to do to catch up to SoCal service I see why they all have such negative reviews. First the Kaiser customer service sent me here saying its urgent care it’s definitely not. I spent 4& ½ hours here for something that takes 30 minutes. While the ppl are nice the service is so slow and dated. The pharmacy doesn’t know how to charge the price that I pay for prescriptions so I will just have to call Kaiser for reimbursement for the difference. If I moved to Georgia I would change providers because if this is what you get Medicaid is probably better.

Kaiser Permanente is definitely stepping their game up. I’ve came across a few people all my 16 years of being a Kaiser member, that some either just don’t like this medical group or they don’t like the fact that THEY… never get to see their actual doctor. To be honest… I really don’t care if I see my regular doctor or not, as long as I get excellent medical care. And for the past 16 years that’s exactly what I’ve been getting.

Came in to urgent care @11:55 am and I have been sitting here for almost 2 hrs & haven’t seen the dr yet! This is some b.s. The system that they have is so stupid. 1st you check in & tell them what’s wrong. 2nd they call you back for vitals 3rd they you back again to ask the same damn question you’ve already told them when you check in & then tell you to go back out & have a seat & wait again to be called! I hate this place but came because I was REALLY sick. Next time I will just do a local minute clinic or urgent care.

I don’t even know where to begin! I have been using kaiser for about 10 years now, and southwood is where I have always gone. However, 2 years ago one of my favorite Dr’s transferred over to Brookwood, so I followed her there. I will leave a Brookwood review as well. My Dr has now retired, so I have started going back to southwood again(it is near my home) and this is my review: Apparently, Kaiser has a new policy on prescriptions. as well, as many new dr’s. First I will address the pharmacy. The new policy SUX! there has always been a long wait for pick-up. But if you place your order online, and go pick-up, the wait was not that bad. BUT! NOW the wait time is ridiculous! I have went 3 times since the new policy has been set in place. and the first time I waited 1 hour and 20 mins!(I had placed my order online, and was simply picking up– but because I ordered it the day before the new policy was in order, although they had my prescription ready, they refused to give it to me because it was not in the ‘new system” I had to go sit down and wait on my name to show on the screen. please keep in mind, they already had my meds there, with my name on the bottle! but would not let me take it! the second time I took my hard copy in and was told there would be a 2 hour wait! so, I left, went shopping then came back to pick-up and guess what? after standing inline for 45 mins to get to an open window was told that my meds were still not ready! so I went back home. waited till the next day. and yes, again… I had to wait, and wait, and wait. finally got it. Now, today I went in, again with a hard copy, signed in(after standing inline for 20 mins,) only to be told that my hard copy didn’t match the order in the system! what?! I had the hard copy in my hand! after much back and forth I was told to wait till my name was on the screen… I waited… 55 mins! I counted 11 pharmacy workers in there, plus the 3 that were working the windows. So, if you go to Southwood pharmacy… be prepared to WAIT. and wait and wait… Also, there is one particular girl there who is amazingly RUDE! I will say for most part the window folks are courteous, with the exception of that one that has a really bad attitude. Now for the new Dr’s: Or in my particular case, my new Dr. she seems very distant and not attentive to my needs. I have been taking the same meds for 8 years now, and they work fine for me. but according to her I need to be taken off of it(she says they don’t really work) and I need to take something else. Wait, My meds work for me, I am doing fine. and now you want to take me off a med that works for me and ‘try’ me on a new med? She cut my dose in half and put me on something else, which had a bad effect on me and made me have insomnia! I quit taking it, and I told her that. I also told her I want to be put back on what I was taking. My dose has always been the same, and I am on the lowest dose! Why is it that when one gets a new Dr they think they can just pull you off a medication that is actually working for you?! I don’t like the new policies, I don’t like how my ‘new Dr’ is treating me. I will be going back to Brookwood. I pay too much for kaiser insurance only to be treated like this. I feel I would get better treatment from a ‘free clinic’!
