An old school Farmer’s Market, right at the road frontage of the farm. One of 3 or 4 in this area within ½ mile of here. Freshest produce anywhere. I took this scenic route on Hwy 107 today. Stopped for some ‘maters and cucumbers. Also got a Vidalia onion(not grown here) and a cute scolding from a Southern Mom. «You sure are hard on those tomatoes.» I brought my own bag. The nice country lady went on to inform me that she wasn’t going to put the onion back in my sack because of my rough handling and she wanted to avoid any certain bruising. Admittedly, these are some FAT daddy tomatoes, she called them«Biltmore tomatoes» and guaranteed my satisfaction. Very fresh«triple sweet corn,» a newish kind of apple, cantaloupes, jams and jellies are also available.
