Matt creter provides an amazing service to the area with other guitar shops just coming up short. One of, if not, the most knowledgable guitarists in the area. Sells quality products and his dog Arlo is a welcome treat to the experience.

You could have a gold mine of musical equipment, but no one drives 45 minutes to get incessantly barked at by a dog, and snubbed by a salesman with a rude attitude. Don’t waste your time here.

I’ve been going to Creter’s for almost 10 years now. I don’t really know where to start, so I’ll just say that this place is phenomenal. The owner, Matt, is one of the most knowledgable guys I know when it comes to guitars, amps, and music in general. Tell him what kind of sound you want, he’ll help you find it. Tell him how you want a guitar to make you feel(yes, I actually asked him that one time), he’ll hook you up with the right one. I’ve seen lots of other employees there, usually musicians themselves, or young kids, but they are always nice, helpful, and super eager to talk about guitars. It’s not like when you go to a huge chain music store and everyone just wants to call you ‘bro’ and try to one-up you on musical knowledge or ability. These guys love music, and want you to love it as well. I currently live about an hour away from this place, but it’s the only shop I go to. I’m pretty sure even if I moved out of state I would still make a trip back if I was going to buy a new amp or really needed advice on a guitar. Yes, this place is THAT good. Of course you could always e-mail them, they are very quick to respond, and they ship stuff too. So I guess I wouldn’t have to travel back, but I probably still would. If you need anything related to guitars or basses, go here, you will not regret it.
