We got married this past Friday aboard the Flagship Texas. Let me just simply state from the very beginning, if all the people we worked with for the various parts of our wedding, were as helpful and accommodating as Captain Branko, our entire wedding would have been perfect. From our initial contact all the way through the ceremony and reception and final having to depart the Flagship, Captain Branko and his crew were awesome. There were very nice rooms for the bride and the groom to get dressed and ready in. The enclosed area was very nice and had we needed it due to in-climate weather, it would have been just fine. We were fortunate and the earlier rains of the day cleared in time for the Flagship to be set up to accommodate our wedding ceremony on the top deck. Biggest surprise? The food. We half expected to have catered food brought on board in hot boxes and then served once we were all ready to go. Instead, the food was prepared right on-board and everything tasted great. If you are having thoughts of using someone else, forget it… better to just let Captain Branko’s chef do his magic. The prices for renting out the ship, preparing the food, servers, bartenders and all was very reasonable. I liked that Captain Branko and his crew did whatever we asked and there were no «surprise charges» at the end, as we have heard so many other horror stories from other weddings. If you are considering having your wedding on board Flagship Texas, do it! Your friends and family will talk about that wedding aboard the ship on Lake Travis for years. Talk about memorable! Thank you Captain Branko and First Mate Sue! You made our wedding truly a memorable one!
