This is the larger of the two Aldi’s in the general area. While both are nice stores, this one is a little larger and a little harder to navigate to get in or out. I’ve also found a lot of people parking in handicap zones that are like mother grizzly bears and a jar of honey. You don’t want to even get near them as you never know what they’re going to do, back out in front of you, stop, turn, or otherwise create a hazardous condition. This is in part the way the handicap area is designed and unlike most other Aldi stores. As with all Aldis, the prices are lower than anyone in the area on 90% of what they sell. For the better part, they only sell their store brands. So, if you like their brands, you can buy their brands, if not… For some reason, milk at Aldi’s in Midwest is priced differently. In other parts of the country, milk is priced the same. For some reason, here, regular, 2% and skim all are priced from high to lower, respectively. Go figure. Of what’s to offer in the Joplin/Carthage area, I feel that Aldi’s has the better selection of bread on most products and certainly the better price on bread. Not sure about household cleaning products, though.

Good grocery store for all the basics. Make sure you bring cash, a debt card, or Discover because they don’t take anything else. Milk is a lot cheaper at SAMs but Walmart will rip you a new one on the price of a gallon these days compared to most other places.

I am a big fan of Aldi in general but this particular location is very new and up to date. The staff is unfailingly efficient and pleasant. No, it is not a «full service» store nor is it a specialty shop, but for what it is Aldi is fantastic! I buy about 70% of my household groceries here, and have found their produce, dairy, baking staples, canned items, and frozen vegetables and seafood to be above par if not excellent. Their wine, bread, boxed couscous and pasta are not my favorite but they’re definitely better than supermarket brands at drastically lower prices. Every time I shop at Aldi I am pleased with the bill. They also have limited-time offers that can be outstanding, especially on produce or seasonal items. They have recently started carrying Fage plain Greek yogurt, almond milk, steel cut oats, and lots of other things I used to have to make a trip elsewhere to find. Bringing your own bags and paying a quarter for cart use(which is refunded at the end) is not a problem at all for me, but I bring my own bags to most stores anyway and I have been shopping at Aldi since the 90’s(in their old scary location) so I may be a bit biased. Good store.

Their produce is usually cheaper than Walmart. For example they have pomegranates for $ 1 right now & they are about $ 2 at Food 4 Less & Walmart for the same size. Their blueberries, pineapples, mushrooms, garlic, mangoes, etc are almost always cheaper too. But as Elana said they only accept debit cards & cash

This food store is great if you are on a budget. You can get your staple items here like milk, eggs, ground beef, chicken and cheeses. They have lots of fresh produce options too. They only accept debit cards and cash, so come prepared.

this is a great super market, that can save you alot of money, they have a almost everything you will need to get by for the week. the dairy a meat section has a great variety, and there is a huge frozen food section. you will need to bring your own hags, and a quarter for ther shopping cart.
