Always Buying Books

A used bookstore with an emphasis on promoting local books, old and new, and their authors?
We must make a visit… and we did!
When I drove up to the entrance, my wife turned to me and grinned at me with a look of pure unadulterated glee. She loves a good deal, and they were looking to liquidate so she hit the sidewalk sale first.
I went in and met Bob, the owner, who is a very personable guy. You can sense his passion for the store as well as authors from the area. He says the store has the best overall selection of subject matter within a 70 mile radius of Joplin. I’m not sure if that’s the case, but what I did see was fairly impressive. The place is laid out in somewhat of a maze, but it was easy to find the local section as it is near the entrance. I made a few selections and my wife built a stack of her own. What’s more is that we didn’t break the bank with all of our purchases.
When we return to the area, we’ll have to see what new treasures we can come away with.
