Overly breaded, especially on the gizzards, but good flavor. The sides are varied and pretty darn good. And the desserts are better than average. You can even swap out a side for my favorite, Oreo pudding.

The chicken chunks are juicy and tender, easy to eat. Great for a bad tummy, but you have to peel off the breading. The mixed veggies are super tender and our son, who’s a picky eater, ate all his veg from here! The blackberry dessert is awesome. The catfish has no «fishy» taste, breaded perfectly. We’ve not had a bad meal from here ever. Please stop in and find out how good the food really is!

If you love Country style food, you’ll love Charlie’s Chicken! Fried chicken was very juicy. The fried catfish was very tasty as well! There is an abundance of sides to choose from! I recommend their mashed potatoes, carrots, okra, and broccoli salad! They had a couple desserts that looked tasty but we opted to not try them this time… next time!

VERY greasy. Lots of breading on the gizzards and when you order an entire chicken for $ 11.99 do not get your hopes up. You get get four pieces of cut up chicken in a box. Very disappointing. On the flip side the staff was quite pleasant.

Good food but truly weird service… very stilted and awkward, like their staff all came from a very different non-​food service background. They aren’t exactly rude, they all just seem shy and antisocial! I’m not sure what is going on with Charlie’s Chicken employees but at least the food is tasty. If you happen to pick up takeout or hit the drive thru window, be sure to ask for anything you might possibly need (such as condiments), they really don’t pick up on things like that here. My elderly relatives adore this place so I have enough experiences here to say all of this with complete confidence that my «weird service» description of Charlie’s is not a one off but the way it is, all the time!
