HuHot Mongolian Grill

Wow!!! Everything I have made have been great! The service is great and place is clean. You have so many different sauce choices that I want to try them all. It’s all you can eat so you can make all the combinations you want.

Great place for a fast, customizable meal. Pick and choose as you please, create your own flavors, and then have it thrown on a grill then eat, and repeat. You can get creative with the variety of veg and meats. And if you show up on shrimp day, score. Like I said fast food and satisfying too.

Vegetarians stay far, far away. Meat scraps end up EVERYWHERE! Can’t get a noodle & veg plate that’s not contaminated. Heaven help the poor soul with seafood or peanut allergies. Service (the ONE time I went) was rude, and add-​ons are ridiculously expensive. They claim to be «unlimited» but they’ll charge you separately for rice, spring rolls, crab rangoon, and their very small and disgusting assortment of «desserts». Not unlimited, not sanitary, not friendly, not going back. Can do better in Joplin for the same money.

Really good ingredients! The sauces are amazing and the veggies are fresh! Some people get all razzed that the meat is frozen, not fresh – I know other restaurants show you the meat once it is thawed, it is silly to thing that it didn’t come frozen. Always fun and yummy!
Changing score, no longer has eggs, so kids no longer want to eat there.

Im not quite sure what the other reviewers were expecting. It is a normal mongolian grill with delicious foods and you can concoct your own flavor. As many times as you want with as many bowls as your heart desires. So forget about the ‘tiny bowls’ comment. We love this place and will go back again soon!

Went there for dinner on 11÷9÷13, and we’d been wanting to try it for sometime. However, we went in shortly before 5pm, and told our server one of us is a vegetarian, and he informed the grill people, because they are to clean (not just scrape) the grill before preparing vegetarian items. We told two of the cooks and one said, «So.» We then said, «You have to clean the grill.» He rolled his eyes. Keep in mind there were 5 people in line (3 behind us and one was a child). He cleaned the grill and put the child’s food on the clean area. Then put the vegetarian food on an area that hadn’t been cleaned. He then asked a moment later, «Which one is the vegetarian?» I walked off went to the server and told him what happened, he apologized profusely, but it appeared with the cooks that cooking for a vegetarian is a hassle. So whether the food is good, I don’t know, but the service from the cooks left too much to be desired for me to even think about going back.

Pretty interesting and fast

Seems like this location needs more time to get their act together. It has been opened for a few weeks but there are kinks still need to be worked out. HuHot is not a place I’d go willingly. I mean, pretty much all their foods are frozen. The way it works is: there’s a buffet table full of meats and veggies. You pick what you want in a bowl. Another table has all the sauces. Then you bring it to the grill and they’ll grill it for you while you wait. Don’t get out of line or they’ll hand you someone else’s plate.
The bowl is small so it’s hard to pack everything in. I guess that’s a good way to control portions. The cooks at this location were young so they probably don’t have much experience. My food was never cooked all the way through — noodles were hard and I kept picking out veggies that were still frozen on my plate.
There were a ton of employees and not enough work because most of them were just standing around. Or they were constantly filling up the buffet tables which is good and bad — they kept getting in customers’ way while they were refilling.

Nice store, interesting concept, but unfortunately the food doesn’t live up to the atmosphere. Noodles, veggies, and sauces are ok, but the meats are sliced thin and frozen, so when they stir fry it, it comes out hard and chewy, no matter which meat you choose. For the price, quality should be better.
