Pearl Brothers True Value Hardware

I absolutely love this store. Its charming downtown location, excellent customer service, and unique merchandise make it a favorite shopping stop for me. My husband and I do shop the big box hardware stores for some tools and larger items, but Pearl Brothers is my favorite for when I just need a couple of things for a DIY project. As a woman, I really appreciate the way the employees of Pearl Brothers offer help when I need it and don’t give me a macho attitude but they also show respect and stand clear if I assure them I know what I need. It’s a great balance. The parking in front is great when you just need to run in for an item or two, and the parking lot in back is always sufficient as well. They have good sidewalk sales. You can always count on good quality and while some of their stuff (patio furniture, kitchen appliances) may have a hefty pricetag it’s usually worth it once you do your research. My favorite? We bought a Dimplex electric fireplace here a couple of years ago and it looks so much better than the electric fireplaces sold elsewhere, we really got our money’s worth. I highly recommend this store.
