Great little spot. Free parking. I went here with my girlfriend for a picnic. We found a quiet bench right along the water. We bathed in the sun, enjoyed the sound of the running water, and fed the squirrels. I didn’t check out much else but it looks to be a tranquil spot just outside the city

I so wish I could give Mariner Point park 4 or 5 stars, but really it’s just not there. In my opinion it is one of the worst maintained Harford County Park Department parks in the county. It just seems the further away from Bel Air, Aberdeen, or Havre De Grace you get the crappier the maintenance and dollars spent on the parks. Most county parks offer doggy /pet waste bag stations, trash cans, and signage that encourage owners to pickup after their animals(Annie’s Playground, Ma Pa Trail, etc.). It is a very common occurrence to have to dodge dog poop every other step; even around the two kids play areas, and picnic pavilions here. Not enough trash cans leads to slime bag patrons dropping their trash on the ground which leads to unsightly litter and water pollution. I understand pulling the dumpsters because idiots were using them for unwanted furniture and yard waste, but you could have put video cameras on the dumpsters with signs stating illegal dumping is being filmed and prosecuted. Hell it is a public place, there are no guarantees of privacy in public. Harford County you need to get with it! Mariner Point park deserves the same level of investment as Annie’s Playground or other park in the county. This is a great park, with awesome opportunities for those that boat, kayak, or canoe. Docks for fishing. A 1.1 mile paved pathway for walking, running, or biking. Just not enough benches for people to sit and rest as they trek the trail. Picnic areas and number of tables could stand improvement. But overall good.
