We were headed to Jordan for a baseball game and I called to inquire if they had dog bones. They replied we have beef bones for dogs and they gave me one for free. They don’t butcher dogs thankfully. They are open Friday until 8 so that was nice. I bought beef and cheddar beef sticks that were good. I purchased golden maple breakfast links that would you believe they taste like Kramarchuks but a lot cheaper, super good. I noticed these bacon wrapped chicken breasts and bought a Hawaiian flavored one with cheese and pineapple and a gourmet flavored one with cheese. These you put in the oven for an hour. OMG so moist, big and flavorful. Not dry at all. These could look very impressive at your next dinner party. I also found Kolakys from Franke Bakery in Montgomery. Service was good and meat top quality. Too bad they are over 30 minutes away. Support local family run businesses.

My boyfriend is from Jordan, MN, and as a transplant to the Twin Cities area(I am originally from New York) I was unfamiliar with Pekarna’s until he introduced me to it. I simply cannot overstate how amazing this meat is. Try to imagine the most delicious, freshest, locally grown meat you’ve ever had. Times ten. I could eat Pekarna’s thick, fresh, incredible marinated pork chops every day. It is well worth the drive to Jordan from the Twin Cities to try this market. The marinated meat is heavenly, and their Italian sausage(both in links and sold in bulk) are the best I’ve ever tasted outside New York.
